I had to email you because perhaps you have better luck than me. I purchased a dog originally born in Russia. She was born on March 2, 2002 and I purchased her on April 27, from the person this litter was sent to, here on Long Island, NY. Well, I have no pedigree yet. It's over five months. He said the litter needed to be registered first in Russia and it takes a while because of int'l paperwork. He doesn't have the papers yet, nor does the person in Russia want to give me any information. SHe wants me to send $50 for pedigree papers to Russian Kennel Club, then she'll put them in my name. My question is: Why won't she tell me who the Dam is of my dog, and what's the big secret as to where my papers are? Do you know anything about a Marina Kanevski from Moscow? This is the person who sent my pup to the US person. I'd watch it unless the papers are already available from Russia and you can get them when you purchase the dog, not afterwards.

Go to the AKC website--there is a link on the homepage of Bulldogsworld. Search for the registration procedures. As long as your puppy has been properly registered with the Russian Kennel Club, and, if one breed is eligible then the same procedure should apply to all breeds that are recognized by both kennel clubs. Good luck. Love them Bulldogs!

I don't know if it is the same for any breed, but my co-worker got a bedlington terrier from russia, and it had all the papers and a tatoo. She sent his Pedigree to AKC for evaluation, and then received a registration paper. It did take a while though. You should contact AKC

It would be best to check with AKC. If you go to the AKC website there is a list of countries. Maybe that will help. I do know that to register a dog from another country is a long procedure and you HAVE to have all you paper work in order. They do reguest several forms of ID including microchipping done from the breeder. Hope this helps
I was going through questions in this forum trying to find out exactly what needs to be done to have a puppy shipped to me in San Diego California from St. Petersburg Russia. I have a friend that put me in contact with a breeder he knew that shows bulldogs and found a puppy i like, but they have never shipped to U.S.A. and was needing some help. Since I read you got your dog from Hungary, I thought maybe you could help or redirect me.
