Regarding MidAtlantic Bulldog Rescue

The volunteers of MidAtlantic Bulldog Rescue collectively thought long and hard as to how and whether we should respond to a post on the board regarding the emergence of so many new rescue groups. Since we are one of only two new groups that we are aware of, we thought it best to quell the concern, confusion and curiosity about our group. MidAtlantic Bulldog Rescue is an incorporated , NJ Non-Profit rescue group. Our attorney is in the process of filing application for our 501(c)(3) status. As with any newly formed rescue group, it takes time to move forward concerning tax exemption status.

There are 15 members of MidAtlantic that are active members. We have 5 people on our Board of Directors. We are not affiliated with any other rescue group but have assisted two other rescue groups through the summer.

The main focus of our group, as should be of all rescue groups, is to help the dogs; that is the goal of all of our members.

There are quite a few of us that post on the board which many of you know were formerly associated with HeavenSent. As in any group there is always difference of opinions, difference in ideology in the direction of a group and personality conflicts. For several reasons we felt it best if we moved on and formed a group of our own. We see nothing wrong in forming another rescue group; the more rescuers that can help the dogs the better it is for any dog in need.

We hope that this clears up the confusion, concern and curiosity regarding our group and goals. This post was presented to and approved by the Webmaster and we will not continue with any further postings on this subject.

here we go with the mud. Amy was that really needed

please dont start slinging mud at respectable decent people.
Pam has been the most ethincal and honest person i have ever met in rescue...
My understanding is this would not be on the boards.. It HURTS RESCUE not helps..
we all have our own opinions and respectfully i keep mine to myself even although i was deeply disapointed by the former President...

I was taught as a child if you have nothing nice to say then say nothing....

Heavensent Bulldog Rescue

Fellow Bulldog Lovers,

For those of you who know or do not know me,my name is Rachelle Giacchi and I am currently owned by Max,my 11 year old bullie friend.

I would like to tell you about Heavensent and me.

Over the past years I had personal unhappiness in my life.My bullies always helped me through and sadness from losing the 4 rescued bullies who came into our lives and homes was unbearable.

These rescues did not come from Heavensent or any other rescue groups on this board. I developed a friendship with Pam from this board. She was there for me 200%. Her life is devoted to bulldogs and their well being.I have had the pleasure of attending Bullyfest at her home.Any problems or questions I ever had about my bullies,Pam took the time to always support me.

Her dedication to rescue is a blessing from God. Over recent months,I have become more active in helping Heavensent. My experiences with this group has overwhelmed my heart and spirit that goodness in people still exsists.

I am not as active as all the members of this group are--but I want you all to know that the placements I have personally helped with, have been handled perfectly and in the best interest of the bullies.

I am proud to call myself a member of this group.

I also support ANY rescue group--ANY breed-for their unconditional love and dedication to animals in need.

THAT SHOULD ALWAYS BE THE MAIN FOCUS!!!!!

I prayer that that should be all that matters.New start up groups should respect and seek help with more established groups,if necessary.Support each other-if necessary and remain focused on the bullies!!!!

I know this is long--please forgive me.I love these bullies--I know we all do!!!

the more help, the better

As the caretaker of a rescued bulldog, I think it's wonderful that so many people would devote their tme, energy, and resources to helping bulldogs in need. I have gotten 100% total support with our dog through the continued efforts of the wonderful poeple who placed him with us. I don't even get this kind of customer support with a new car, which required a much larger "adoption" fee. I applaud EVERYONE who works in rescue - no matter the name hanging on the shingle. I love my dog, and I love the people who found such a wonderful boy that has become the light of my life.

I agree....when there are no more

dogs needing care/rescue/help.....that is when we should be concerned about the number of rescues. Right now.....all those poor dogs need each and every rescue out there. That is still what the rescue is all about.....isn't it?

Pam/Heaven sent. Having a bad day?

Can you plese tell us all why you registered the domain name www.midatlanticbullyfest.com on May 30th, 2007 ? I established that event in 2003-

A domain name can be bought by any person. Why did you not buy it for 4 years and now fuss about it once it's bought.

Ever since the issue of requests for financial disclosure resulted in the resignation of the past president, we have respectfully kept the subject off this board. We have also not disclosed the number of failed adotpions of dogs that were completed without the knowledge of principle members of HSBR, that these dogs had even come into rescue. We have not discussed the many reversed adoptions or the absence of fostering or broken promises or lies. -

So why fuss now? No one bashed you. Your going off the deep end. Good luck to the new group and all rescue workers.
Amy

Totally agree, Sue!

The more people concerned for the dogs, the better.

best of luck

to all involved. I see this logo on many people's signatures. 15 people is a big number. I dont understand why there appears to be a problem with forming another group of experienced rescue voulenteers. Surely it wont do anything but benefit all the rescues out on the east coast. After all, it is, and should be about helping the dogs.

question & remark

Can you plese tell us all why you registered the domain name www.midatlanticbullyfest.com on May 30th, 2007 ? I established that event in 2003, and NONE of you in this new group were even involved in rescue at that time. And although you clearly sought to glean from that representationvia the name your group has chosen, it is not your event. Until this year it was always held on my property and has been the primary fudnraiser for MY group.

I am open to any and all questions. I didn't bring it up.
