Elizabeth posted that POO saved her life. That soak in the tub sounds so wonderful Elizabeth!! I wonder, if after the house quiets down tonight if I might.....
nope, something will happen and I will have to get right back out again.
Anyway, my question is about the fragrance. Is it a light fragrance? I have lung disease, and a strong fragrance makes it difficult for me to breathe. And hubby gets an asthma attack around strong frangrances.
Anna, do you think that your POO with frangrance would be OK for us?
Elizabeth, what fragrance did you use that relaxed you so well?? Inquiring minds want to know. (smile)
Thank you in advance for anwering questions that probably have already been answered elsewhere on this board.

My mom has lung disease
I don't know what it is called but she has slow progressing hardening of the lungs. When she coughs she can make me sick to my stomach sometimes. I know she can't help it and I really feel sorry for her. We can not wear perfume around here or spray anything in the air is she is going to be home within the next 4 hours...So my point is she has not used any of the poo yet but she has smelled it and none of them made her cough....I got Lavendar, Oatmeal, Peppermint, and apple....She loved all of them. Matter of fact the Peppermint is sitting on my table unwrapped and it is making my kitchen have a slight smell of peppermint and she has not coughed the first time over it....
Now my dogs and there hair is a totally different story.......

Fragrance
I used the oatmeal. I think there is also something else in it . Oh yes....I remember. It wa s oatmeal and honey I believe. And the frangrance isn't overpowering like in some scented soaps. It is just a nice clean smell. I am a bad mother, because I am not going to share this with Briggs!
Elizabeth
I do love it...
the Oatmeal Milk and Honey smells so good, when its wet especially. I wasnt sure if the scent could be stronger without messing it up. I do bet its wonderful for a hot bath though. Ill have to try that! It is very mild but so light and nice!
The peppermint is stronger but smells so good too. Its definitely got a FREEZING property to it...LOL.
Aromatherapy/Lavender/Peppermint making you go "OHHHHH!"
There's a lot of sites out there with some good info on the benefits of aromatherapy. Put in "Aromatherapy" in a google search and you'll see a lot of things to read. Lavender is probably the one I see most often for its relaxation qualities.
I find everyone has differing opinions about the way Poo smells (heehee, that sounds funny). I do try to make it aromatic enough to last long after a bath. The Oatmeal, Milk & Honey by its very nature is mellow, warm and smooth. Straight out of the bottle, it's a mild fragrance to begin with so I'm not sure how much more potent it can be without turning a batch of soap to mush.
I'm DYING over your comments about the Peppermint Poo. It's a real eye-opener, isn't it? HAHAHAHA!
Jane is in Illinois....very close to me....smile

NOT A PEEP FROM ME! =)
(Peep!)

straight lavender
that is very relaxing Jane. Maybe Anna can make you some with no peppermint.
Wendy.......
I'll bet I know what you are talking about
.....and Julia did not even tell me
:)
You are very welcome, Jane!! The poo is really wonderful....I am going to try the lavender/peppermint next...it smells incredible..very refreshing but not overpowering.
Speaking of rescue...I am going to be working in rescue here in CT...put in my application for the BCA and will be offering my help...right now there is only one rescue person and she has been quite busy. I am really looking forward to it...to be able to help Bulldogs...I am very, very enthusiastic
About the poo fragrance...my opinion...
for what its worth, my opinion is that the Oatmeal/Milk/Honey bar smells WONDERFUL, but isnt very strong. I actually was asking if she could make it stronger so the scent stayed on my skin a while after my bath. It is a light scent but wonderful and not strong at all.

The peppermint is a nice scent also but stronger. I actually smell like peppermint for a long time after I use it. Oh- and so does Henry of course. The bar was a great size, but I cut it in half to split with Henry. hee hee!
And be careful with the peppermint. Thats all Im gonna say about that! (Julia, not a WORD!)
Re: Question regarding POO
Jane, I also used the oatmeal on Buddy. Also washed my hair with it tonight. My husband has COPD, asthma and emphasema and it hasn't bothered him at all. The peppermint is a bit stronger and that might bother you and your hubby but the oatmeal is great. I'm tempted to try the lavender but I haven't bought it yet.

What vet do you use? If you dont mind my asking. You are in TX right?
Kim
Thank you for the information. I think it is about time I got onto the ordering line and got me some POO!!
I had my rescue at the vet's office today, and told them about the Oatmeal and Honey, and they said it sound like it would be perfect for my rescue. He has a staph infection in his skin. Poor Baby. He just was not cared for well at all.
Jane
Not Elizabeth but.....
I used the Oatmeal Milk and Honey for my bath...and it was incredible...very soothing...soap usually leaves my skin very dry..but not this...it is not an overpowering scent. I used it to wash Gretta this morning..she still smells great...very soft too
