not sure I can share the whole story because it's rescue related and I don't know what can and cannot be said so I'm going to ask a "general question"
I might have a 4th bulldog after the weekend. When I got my 3rd everyone thought I was crazy and yes, it's more work, but we manage. My current dogs are 4 (male), 5 (female), 6 (male) years old. I'm looking at possibly adding a 8 year old female bulldog... am I crazy? How do people with 4 + bulldogs do it? How much more work is 4 than 3?
The current trio!

2 is great, and the work load is not much different
adding a 3rd is like doubling the work. Having a 4th is still like having double the work.
LOTS MORE POOP, and if they dont all get along its hard.

I would be more worried about the added expense than the work
that's always a worry for me, would I be able to afford to take care of another dog. If that won't be an issue for you, then I say go for it!

Cathy
when she first came home
i'm thinking that
since you already have three -what is one more! good luck.

He knows we would take her too,
so he has options.

she needs a home that will give her a soft pillow to sleep on and lots of love.
my heart is bigger than my house right now, i wish I could take them all!
But I would love to see her with you if you will keep her because she deserves a good home, and I know you would give her that!

YAY!
I don't know if this is going to happen or not, I thought that maybe I could put her up for adoption, but then I was thinking that at 8.5 years old, would that be fair? Shouldn't I just keep her and let her live out her life? I don't know. I guess well see what he comes back with seeing it's not a for sure. But you can bully sit whenever you like!!

you are so right, that is a lot of poop!
I do have a fenced yard, it's not huge, but we manage pretty good right now. The winter sucks because it freezes and I can't pick it up, but my plan was to build a bit of a run in the spring that they can go in rather than the whole yard, unless we are outside playing.

LOL!
I can't imagine only having one! but four! yikes! However, seeing she is 8.5 years old and showing signs of major slow down. He said her joints in her front legs are not good and she doesn't like going for walks, sleeps most of the day... how much time might she have left. and can I make it the best time possible for her... It wouldn't be like getting a puppy.

I was in your position
I found going from one dog to two to be very easy. Going from two to three was definitely more work but not too bad. Going from three to four has been a good deal more than I anticipated, but it's doable. Do you have a fenced in yard? After 15 years in my house, without a fenced in yard, I finally had to put one in last September. I found it pretty stressful to take all 4 into the back yard without a fence there. Especially since one of them would often try to run off.

And having the fence has been a bit of a problem for me too, tho that's mainly becuz my backyard is small. With 4 dogs pooping every day, some twice a day, it has gotten to the point where I don't like to step off the back porch.
Indoors, tho, having a fourth dog has not been all that bad, other than that the bed gets crowded when all four want up at the same time. Fortunately, Boo only stays on the bed for about a half hour when we go to bed for the night. She sort of roams the house during the night, preferring her dog bed on the floor next to the human bed, or sleeping on the sofa in the family room, which has become her throne.
Feeding dinner is not a problem as long as I put Flynn, the youngest, in her crate while she eats. Otherwise she will try to eat the others' food too.
Good luck.

BE MY VALENTINE
Fun concept
You know the temperament of your dogs. Hope it doesn't deharmonize what you have. Just be careful because sometimes more of a good thing isn't better.
I can't even have two
Ruby laid down the law on that one a long time ago, lol.
However it turns out, I hope it is successful!
How dominant is Daisy?
Not that I have direct experience with which to answer your question, but Stella has generally gotten along much better with males than other females. If Daisy is faily laid back, it should be fine.
Well
My foster girl Bella makes 4 and it is more work. We believe she's about 8 and she's real easy going. She fits on really well with my crew.
