Saw Kay Gray this past week end at the shows, and she is proud of her two pups she got, Gertie's littermates. She got the white female and a male.

Anyway, on the freckles, ticking.....Usually a white Bully will have spots of pigment on their skin, that doesn't really show if they have a good coat, until you have them wet, then they really show up.

The ticking is when the hair itself has pigment. Again, with a white puppy, it is not uncommon as they start getting a few months older to start getting some of the ticking on the ears and perhaps elsewhere on the body. But that is when the hair itself has color, vs the skin only has pigment.

They are much more apparent when she is clean. Dark spots under her white hair. He belly is full of them. I think they are cute.

Most white bulldogs will get this. The pigment being light will darken as they get older and are exposed to the sun, I think you should send her to me, not as much sun here in CA.!!

Arthur was white except for the brindle patch on his L eye and the sopt on his lower back. When he was 3 mos old, I noticed black spots while giving him a shower. These gradually increased in number and a few in size. Breeder said they were normal, and decrease the ability for Arthur to be sunburned due to his med-fine fur. I believe an English's fur is a little thicker than OEBs.
Anyone heard this before?

hey Lisa ..when we first saw MoJo he was snow white except one ear..and his tail bun...not a dot anywhere else..
then his other ear started to freckle at about 2-3 months ..lightly sorta a light tan and soft grey brindle.
then his head ...
and his belly is one big polka dot Andy Warhol painting....I love the freckles...myself ...but I was surprised when they started to really pop up...ce

Hi Lisa. When i first got Lola she only had spots/freckles on her ears... now she has them all over. her's are pretty dark, but i've seen bullies with lighter ones that you can only see in good lighting. I hope this kinda answered your question.

Leeloo has the same thing going on... too bad we're so far from each other 'cuz I would LOVE to get our two girls together and take some great pics of the two of them side by side (with your awesome new camera of course!)

I don't know for sure, but i've heard the freckles get darker as they get older and are more obvious. Leeloo has a bunch on her belly, her paw-pads, and her white ear, plus one on her back which looks like a tick.
