A question about adopting & rescues..

Today i submitted my 3rd application to the BCA rescue to adopt. Every 7 months i get an email saying my app has been disposed of and that it's time to turn in a new one. I have done this faithfully 3 times now. Is there ever a chance i'll get considered? I have changed some things on my app as my husband and i just got a new house with a fenced yard and no stairs, yay!! And i will consider bullies of all ages and health issues now that we have this new home. Will this up my chances of being considered? We are willing to drive any distance, allow home inspections, and meet anyone we need to. I know before i didnt have a fenced yard and lived in an apt so that probably cut my chances considerably. I just wonder how long does it take, and if theres something on my app that would absolutley make me unable to be considered would anyone tell me or would they just throw out my app and move on? Just wondering.. Any info is appreciated.

Try contacting a rescue directly,

When I adopted Pugsley I filled out the BCARN form, but I also contacted Laurette directly. Go to the BCA rescue network site, you will see dogs listed from many rescues, it will have pictures and bios, if you see a dog you think will fit with you, contact that rescue about the specific dog. I think the BCA gets many apps, and maybe some get lost in the shuffle. If you contact a rescue directly they will look up your app.

We are so happy for you and Dozer on getting a new buddy.

Bingo! You have mail!

Talk to you in a bit.

hi jessi ann

consider contacting them regarding a dog. sometimes the rescue folks are so overwhelmed in getting dogs that their time is limited. go to the bcarn site, check on the dogs, then contact the rescue group about them. i don't know all the 'rules' they must follow, but it might get your foot in the door.

good luck and thanks for considering these babies.
