Hey all,
I haven't posted in a few weeks - hubbie and I have been passing illnesses back and forth. Gus has been our only heathy member, lucky dog.
I've got a question about training. Gus has been doing a lot better with not nipping my husband and I as we are playing with him. Keep in mind that Gus is only 41/2 months. However, we're a bit concerned because Gus growls quite a bit when we play with him. It's more like a play growl, but we're trying to determine if this is something we should curb now, or if this is simply a puppy playing sort of thing?
Sorry for the brief, poorly written post. I would appreciate any help. Also, I'm sending hubbie to get some pics of Gus so we can hopefully post a few later today. He's such a doll and I'd love to share him with all you.
Hope you're all having beautiful weather like we are today.

It is going Very well....Damn...we know so much more now then we
did when we got Angus....really...It is amazing...Angus barked a few times from his crate last night..the spoiled baby...beth went in & lifted the corner of his crate 2 inches & Dropped it...Stopped the barking..LOL...
Really...We did so much wrong with...heck...he didn't sleep through the night until he was 10-12 months old!!!...Chuck is sleeping throught the night & he is 14-16 weeks old!!!
So..It is actually going great....I can't wait to have one of my own....Oh..Angus's mom is so easy!!!...No troubles at all...

How is the babysitting going
I bet you guys forgot all about what it is like to have a puppy around.
Have fun!!!!!!
Play growl
I wouldnt worry about it, most dogs growl while playing, especially tug games.
Good luck and have fun

Bec...right now Beth & I are baby sitting 4 month old
pup & I forgot how much they nip at your Chin when you hold them & hands when you play with them....I know this was a Major issue when Angus was a small pup & it was Very Very frustrating...I think that the growling is normal...I could be wrong...But..I know that NOW Angus doesn't growl at all...But this little puppy does do some growling when we are playing with some toys...I say...If you feel like the grrowling is getting out of hand then stop the play time for a bit....Give him a little bit of time out...you control when & how games are to be played...I guess..LOL...
