Prissy's New Feeding Station / Question about white fur
Submitted by Wendy41898 on April 20, 2010 - 5:26pmHere is Henry and Prissy wishing everyone a safe and happy Memorial Day!!!! (she got her bath a few minutes ago...with her Memorial Day bow! I think its time to get her some big-girl sized bows now!)
I have been making her a feeding station in between other projects drying, etc. This is the first Shih-Tzu thing I have made! I had to change the Yorkie pattern up a bit to look like a Tzu.
My question is: See the fur around her mouth? Tzus have a smooshed in nose like bullies, and I have a problem getting that clean. Henry has the same problem. The white (esp. around the face) has a yellow tint to it. What does everyone use for yellowed fur?

shampoo suggestion.....
It may not help, but I would try a whitening shampoo for kicks. I use one for humans on Cammy...Look for one in a beauty supply store or drug store that whitens gray hair - that is purple. It will take out "brassiness" from chlorine. Well, I don't know exactly how, but it makes white fur glisten too.....
It may work, you never know!

I did find one but I cant seem to post pics of her on there and everyone is so darn serious there. No fun at all! lol
As far as advertising the feeding station, I'm not putting it on the website just yet. I have one big order to ship out tomorrow and a whole whelping box to finish next! lol (Im so excited to see how it looks when Im done!)
All my attn is going there and then I might add the layered feeding station to the site.

Those look like tear stains to me. It could be the food or the water. My bullie has tear stains and I am in the process of changing his food. In the meantime I mix equal part of peroxide and mylanta and then I add in cornstarch until it becomes a paste. I apply it and keep on for about four hours. It really works for me because my bullies face is white, hope this helps.
