Hi!
Angie is pregnant...YIPPPEEE...with at least 5 fetuses as of 5+ weeks pregnant via ultrasound...YIPPPPEEEE..( as last time she had singleton with cleft palate who died at 4 days old)...we now have 2 weeks to go before C-section date and she is bulky but not bloated...have been using as much of low salt diet as seems practical: Canidae, cooked chicken livers, sometimes plain cooked beef or chicken no salt added, sour cream, cooked eggs, rice...no salt added to anything...along with folic acid from day one of heat, vitamin C 250 mg since bred and 300 mg calcium with Vit. D twice a day since 5-6 weeks along...now she is starting to not eat all of her meals which are split into two meals...questions:
should I split into 3 meals? should I increase just the protein sources? We have until the 16th for C-section date not that she might not go the Friday or Sat before then.
Thanks for any constructive feedback...I am soooooo excited!
Lorraine and Angie
here is what i gave
Vit C
Vit E
Cranberry Caps 2 per day the last 2 weeks, 1 per day 2nd 1/2 of preg. for water retention.
Vitamins
2 folic acid a day
Liver
puppy food
green beans
No salt foods, no cheese, ham......
I think the Cranberry realy helps keep the water off. And also helps against UTI's
good luck with your babies, i hated the part of not knowing when to take them....
Toward the end you may have to hand feed her.
Looking forward to seeing the puppies. I'm having mine ultra sound this weed to see if she is pg.
Congrats and..
I would divide her food into three meals. As the pups grow she is going to eat alot less. She may only want to eat a couple times a day but try giving her three. Its not that she is getting picky, she just doesnt have room for food!
