Prayers for Pride please

Gail, we are all here for you with hugs, love and prayers
and keeping both you and Pride in our thoughts. I can imagine your pain now, worrying and not knowing. But do know we are all with you in thought.
Can you call and see how she is?
Are they open at nite so you can go and see about her? I think it sounds like she aspirated, too. Good work to get her there fast.

She is very very ill .... other than that, I don't know anything
I'm wandering around with this stupid cell phone ... waiting, waiting for them to call like I was told would happen.
Pride was fine at noon ... everything was routine. Happy happy to see mom home for lunch. Brought me one of her toys .. did a potty outing .. followed me upstairs to check e-mails.
When I got home at 5, she was breathing noisily, some wheezing, periodic moaning, trembling and refusing treats.
I rushed her to the clinic without calling first. The specialists (husband/wife team) who own the clinic have the day off and the regularly scheduled vet is headed out the door. The girl takes Pride from me, says she'll make Pride comfortable and give the Mr and Mrs doctors a call to come in and tend to her (they're "on call" tonight) ... I hope it wasn't all a fib just so they could close up for the evening! My little pooch is very sick, very distressed. I think she's aspirated something again. They know her history. Pride has a file 1/2 foot thick and I'm pretty sure we single-handedly funded that clinic in 2001.
