What's your story? i.e. introduce yourself... where are you from, what do you do, how did you become to be who you are...? or whatever you want to share with the board...
Well I am pretty new to this board so this is probably a good way to formally introduce myself. I am 27 years old and I live in Toronto, Ontario. I have one bully who is three and a half years old - Rosie. I have been married for almost two years - no kids, yet!!! Our one bulldog keeps us on our toes!!! I am the Human Resources Manager for a telecommunications company in Toronto. I am a HUGE animal-lover having grown up with every kind of animal imaginable - dog, cat, parrot, pot-bellied pig, horse. I love to travel and hope to make it to Vegas in October for the bully show!!!! So that's all about me....

Lets see... My name is Kimberly Phillips and I am 31 yrs old. I am an only child. I have been married to my husband Wade for 9 1/2 yrs. We were high school sweethearts He is wonderful...
We have 3 children -- Elliott is 5 yrs old, Weston is 4 ys old and Paige is 16 mths. They are the best! We went through 2 yrs of infertility treatments before I got pregnant with Elliott and at times we thought we'd never have children. So my children are truly a blessing to me. There is nothing in the world like being a mommy.
I am a stay at home mom -- though for 2 mths of the year a work the for local telephone company from my home doing data entry. I worked for them before I had children and but decided when Weston was born I wanted to stay home with my children. They grow so fast and are only young once.
Daisy is my first Dog ever!! She will be one this Sunday the 15th!! But still isn't housetrained!! Ugh!! But I love her to death. My husband just can't understand the bond she and I have -- he thinks I am crazy!! LOL! But if she chews one more of my shoes and ruins them... well lets just say I won't be a happy camper!!

This could get rather long. I am in the same age bracket as Sherry. I have been married to the same wonderful man for 40 years. (EGAD!!) We live in suburban Chicago in Hanover Park. The major part of my work life was with the Teamsters Health and Welfare and Pension Fund. I worked there for 25 years. I am now retired due to health issues. We have four adult children, and 8 grandchildren, and 2 step grandchildren (but they really are not different from the others.) I got my first Bulldog after I retired, and now Bulldogs are my passion. Icee, my first Bulldog saw me through some very bad times with my health, and now I have to/want to give some of that back. That is why we do Bulldog Rescue. BullHaven Rescue is a part of the BCA Rescue Network. Lynn, (DH) is my parnter in rescue. He is in the process of retiring due to an on the job injury. I am also a Christian, and truly believe in the power of prayer. I would not be here on this earth today if it were not for the power of prayer. Not very exciting. No one would want to write a book about my life. But I am happy with it. Jane

Jodie Grant, age 27 (until July 7th, when I will be 28, ugh - want to go backwards!!!) I am of Russian/Polish-Spanish decent - I'm a newlywed - my husband Chris (his last name is Predkiewicz - I kept my maiden name) and I got married on September 14, 2002 - exactly one month after our Elsa was born!
We live in Chicago, IL - I've been here since 1993, so this year is 10 years for me. I was born in Palos Heights, IL and when I was about 4, my parents moved to LaPorte, Indiana where I lived until...1993 (see above). I met my husband in 1998 and have been inseperable ever since - coincidentally, he was born in the same hospital as I was, and lived a matter of blocks from my childhood south suburbs of Illinois home - we probably would have went to school together, had my parents not moved to IN. Elsa is my first dog (and first bulldog) since my childhood dog, my cocker spaniel, Muffin - passed away when I was 18 due to cancer. My parents bred cockers when I was little & we thought we could handle it, but it was too hard (she mourned each one when they left) & we wanted to keep all of the pups! If I remember, I'll post a pic of her with her son. I will say, I love Elsa as if she were my child and my entire family thinks I'm crazy. I will probably never have anything but bulldogs - I have never seen a dog with such a "readable" face - so full of emotion & well...sometimes Elsa is just "full of it" in general! I love coming here because you guys make me feel normal - we all spoil our dogs excessively!!!
About me, I have always been "artsy" (my dad calls me his "little Anne Rice") - I've been doing graphic design professionally since I was 19 years old (wow! that's almost 10 years! - sorry, feeling old) - and have had a lot of fun experiences with work. The job market has been shaky for me (as well as a lot of other people) the past few years when I lost my dream job with a well-known internet company - I did, however, land a new dream job doing event planning...I start on my birthday and I am thrilled to death! My husband is in the same field as I am (graphics), he is also a musician & we've had a lot of fun & met a lot of interesting people through that. He is also a computer whiz, (well, me too) we are both technology dorks and sometimes do A+ and such flashcards for fun. We build PCs, do PC repair and freelance websites and graphic design on the side as well - We bounce off of each other well and our talents balance each other out, he's definitely more the "technical" and I'm the "creative". I'm more "eccentric" and he's more "grounded" - I guess I'm the "outspoken one". If I'm not creating, I go crazy. I love to cook when the mood strikes me, I love to decorate, I collect depression glass and McFarlane toys - I'm a music fan, pretty much everything except country - but I'm mainly into metal...the heavier the better! I am into holistics, making things from scratch...and I'm a Sephora junkie. I read a lot, I'm a horror and true crime fan...and a very big Buffy the Vampire Slayer geek! ...and I'm rambling...so...I just wanted to add that I've loved reading about everyone so far!!! You're a great group! Jodie and Elsa
We may be hiring someone in the next few months but the rules are - you have to bring Lola to work with you. And no drinking wine before 1100am hahahah!
My husband and I went to the Mayan Riviera for our honeymoon two years ago and loved it. Didn't go to Xcaret....went to a place called Xel-ha....is that close by?

Is my younger sister's name. I love the name but I could never name my child (I am pregnant) that bc she might think I named her, if it is a her after her...don't want that. It is also funny that someone on this board has a bully named Lolita, which is me... neat...

I cant compete with that. lol
But here goes...
I will be 30 in August. YUCK! I refuse. I think I will just have another 29th birthday and see if I can get away with that!
I live in SC.
I have two children- Peter (4) and Phoebe (3). I love them to death, but I swear if Phoebe had come into this world first, there never would have been a Pete! lol She is the moodiest kid I have ever seen. She actually growls at me..! (We are working on this! lol) I love them both though. But they are a handful!
I have had dogs my whole life, almost every breed. I now have Henry (1 yr old Bully) and Prissy (16 wk old Shih Tzu).
I have never met another dog like Henry. My vet told me when I first got him that Bulldogs are the equivalent of a child with down syndrome. (meant as the best compliment possible). I had no idea what he was talking about then, but now I do. Even though he has physical "challenges" (as all bullies do), he has the personality of the sweetest, most innocent child. - And will no matter how old he gets. He is loyal, one step behind me at all times, and loves everyone with the biggest heart in the world! He just has a look on his face when he looks at me that speaks VOLUMES about how he feels. Ive never seen a dog that was so human. My heart.
I have been married for five years to Joel. We met January 10th and married April 18th. We love each other but are easily irritated with each other at times. Sooo....he plays on his computer and I play on mine! - We just talk back and forth from across the room! lol This board is like a family! I love yall!
I started making wooden arts and crafts (centered around Bulldogs) after CHristmas and have been hopping ever since. I even have a website now- www.henryshowse.com
I am a licensed Dog Groomer but only do family and friends pets.
Im a Disney fanatic and even have Walt's famous signature on my ankle. The only man who will ever have his name tattoed on me! lol PLUS- Im going to Disney World in 10 days! YAY!!!

I am pretty new to this board but hope to be around a while! I am 32 and live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I grew up in Annapolis and have stayed in the area all my life. I am a Director for a market research company (but probably spend more time reading this board than working!). My fiance and I (my second marriage) just built a beautiful house with an acre of land for the pups! We are tying the knot in the Cayman Islands in December. My fiance has 2 small children so I got an instant famly! But I would like one of my own in the near future.
I have had dogs all my life. It's heartwreching when you lose them but I can't imagine life without them! Until baby Winston comes along next month I have one dog...my Golden Retriever, Maverick. Spoiled rotten! But that's the only way to treat them! Sadly I recently lost my other baby, Daphne...a Black Lab mix (a day before her 9th birthday). She had kidney diease and despite the fact that we did eveything we could (we saw specialists, but no cure or even a good treatment for her disease) she became very sick and we had to put her to sleep 4 months ago It's been tough getting used to the idea of getting another dog but I know I will love him to death! And Mav will love to have a buddy! My fiance has always wanted a bully and now seemed like the right time.
Aside from dogs, I enjoy boating (& fishing), traveling, working on the house, and spending time with family and friends.

My name is Nikki (Nichole), I am 31 years old, and live in central California. I have lived here (same county at least) my whole life. July 2, I will have been married 9 years to my husband Derry (yes I did once suggest his name for a dog on the board...I think I was mad at him that day). He does drive me crazy on a regular basis, but I cannot complain too much about him because he gave me the two most wonderful, beautiful children ever. I was a hairdresser until my daughter was born. My daughter Bonnie, is 7 years old. She is absolutely beautiful (I have no idea how it happened), and is extremely bright. She is also an awesome softball player. My son Bailey is 5, and he is much like a bullie. He is as kind hearted and loving as can be, very sensitive, but has a ferocious temper when you cross him or the ones he loves. He is definately mommy's boy, and as cute as can be. I am a stay at home mom, and homeschool. They are remarkable children, and absolutely the loves of my life. My mom (Bonnie too) is the best ever. She is my very best friend in the whole world. I am truly blessed in that department. I have a 16 year old Golden Ret., Whitley, I saved from the pound when she was a year old. I call her my doggie soulmate. Ruby is 15 weeks, and my first ever bullie. I'm having lots of fun with her. I'm pretty conservative for the most part, but I have a few secret passions. I love music, particularly Metallica (I'm such an '80's throw back). I also love motorcycles, and hope someday to have a custom bike from Jesse James (West Coast Choppers, not the bullie ). I'm really glad that I found this board, because sometimes being home with little ones all day can make you feel like you are going insane.

I am 26 years old and live in Elmhurst, IL. It is a suburb of Chicago. I went away to college in Colorado because I wanted to go anywhere that was far away and I had never been to Colorado before so I figured it would be an adventure. It was I had so much fun traveling on the weekends that they become longer and longer(so much to see) that eventually I didn't do very well in school and after 3 semesters came back home. I haven't been back since. So I came home and played around a bit and went to Elmhurst College-in the town I grew up in that no one would ever want to go to...surprise surprise I really really liked it-very small classes my major classes sometimes have 7 people in them! Professors give you there home numbers to call them if you have questions etc. So I am pretty much done I have had to start and stop over the years for lack of molla(since I screwed up my parents decided it was for me to pay).
I also just got laid off from work in outpatient mental health in psycho-social rehab. I loved my job we ran educational groups and activities with some fun activities trying to get the clients ready for life outside of hospitals and group homes! It was wonderful.
However, my dream is to actually own, operate and run a nursing home. I worked at one 3-4 years ago for a year and a half and I loved it also but I saw room for improvement. Which ties into my love of mental health because all too often now clients are sent to nursing homes because there is no where else for them to live. Too long to explain all the improvements and differences I want to add to mine but you guys get the idea I hope.
Winston is my first bulldog. I had a cocker spaniel named Smudge that I got when I was in 8th grade. We put her to sleep last Jan and it was the saddest thing I have ever had to do-I thought I was so prepared and tough =) She taught Winston how to go up and down the stairs =) I would bring her over to my moms house(where Smudge was)and Winston wouldn't know what to do with stairs because although my apartment was set up like a townhouse the only stairs were to go upstairs and I babygated them. So needless to say my coaxing with treats did little but Smudge did wonders. Winston is like my child-I get made fun of my family and friends for how I treat him. He has more toys than any animal or child should have, he goes almost everywhere with me, right now I am annoyed with my grandma because she wants me to visit but won't allow the dog(although she allowed Smudge) because he is too big lol so we are not going. Anyways this is rambled.
Last but not least my father is from Italy and moved here to go to college-my moms family came over on the Mayflower and she is originally from New York State. They met at Duke Univeristy and were married for 32 years and just recently got divorced. We all call Chicago area our home now.

I'll try not to bore you guys!
I'm 23, Glens an old fart - Originally from Canada - moved to Maui 8 years ago. Glen and I are engaged, we're getting married in March - he's Canadian too, we met on a plane going back to Canada, ended up we lived in the same city in Canada a block apart, didnt know it and met in Maui.
I own my own travel company, get to work from home most of the time. That can be a bad thing since I never seem to leave my pajamas. Glen runs a news paper out here and also works for Jimmy Buffet.
We are proud obsessive owners of Milo and Gertie. We both didn't know the breed that much, Glen promised me a dog only if it was a good lap dog hahaha was he in for a surprise - now I think he loves those dogs more than me. Our friends do anyway, they wont let us come over unless we bring the babies.
We're both into sports - I've played hockey all my life (I know a boys sport) Glens heavily into Mountain biking, we love to surf, play tennis, racket ball and odly enough we are big time couch potatos at night!
Lets see I'm older than any of you young ones. Pushing 60 fast. Dad was in army for my first 20 years married and did the next 21 years as a military wife. Hubby has been out of the army now 17 years. Have lived on east coast Balitmore , Ga., N.C.. in the middle of the US in Ok [home town] now in Tx.
We love to travel and see everything. Love Vegas Been to Chicago to the Aquarium , St Louis Bilox fishing,Corpus Cristi, Sheveport Gambleing, Alaska doing everything we could fit in the days.
We love to fish[we don't keep]. Love walking in the woods, along the beaches. Love dog shows whether in them or just ring side holding someones dog for them.
Wish we could dive but not that comfortable in the water. Going to try snokeling this next summer. Planing on a trip to West Yellowstone for Snowmobiling [we haven't done this before] for xmas.
Just enjoy seeing the world if possible . I am a introvert though and pretty quiet around people. That's probably why I like the site.
When I worked I was a retail manager for Pier One and then here for Pic n Save. My jobs were many along the way with moving every 3-4 years I had to start over so now I'm retired.
We have two daughters 36 and 30. Both are doing fine on their own. We have 5 grandchildren.
I am Amy Britt. I am 26 years old. I have been married for 2 years. I live in San Jose, CA now but I am from Hanford, CA which is a small town in Central San Joauquin?sp Valley. I really miss being there. Although I visit there often. I work for an Arch/Landscape Design firm. I manage the office/sit on BDW all day. We got our first bulldog, Abby, in March of this year. We absolutely love her. I take her to work with me everyday. My husband works on race cars and is gone just about every weekend. Thank goodness for my neighbor/cousin because we do alot of things together. I have one younger sister. I guess that is just about it!

Hi guys ..... I'll play with this poll. My name is Erin and i am 25 years old. I was born and raised in San Fransico and moved to San Diego when i was 16 ( I was quite a handful for my parents ). My parents are still married and i too am an only child (spoiled but appreciative ) I met my husband about 6 years ago on a blind date to Tijuana Mexico. We have now been married 3 years in July. We spent our Honeymoon in Cancun and loved going to your jungle land Xarlet (sp)My husband knows how much i love dolphins so yes I did get to swim with the doplhins... It was the best experience ever!! The funniest thing about our Bulldog Monte. My husband has always wanted a Bulldog. When wew were dating he always told me that the moment he had a house, that was the dog for him. Needless to say we married, bought a house, and after being moved in 2weeks he started in. He kept saying ur house is too quiet. The next thing i know is he found a breeder and wanted to look at pups. I never wanted a Bulldog. If you can believe i thought they were ugly. So then we went to the breeder house and met the sire and dam. They lived outside so they were dirty, fat, sloppery. I left saying maybe we should reconsider this. I knew there was no telling him no. Besides it was a childhood dream. So needless to say we went back a few weeks later and picked Monte up. The main point to the story: Monte is my boy. We go everywhere together, I bring him to work with me, We cuddle when dads at school or softball, I take him on most his walks.... I Dont think I could possibly Love him more than i do. Every morning we play on the floor and i scratch his tummy. My Final Point: I will never own another breed of dog other than a BUlldog.. I love him so , I could just eat him.

My name is Nettie, or Net for short. Named after my Grandfather as Mom thought I was gonna be a boy, alas, a girl I turned out to be so she had to shorten the name from Nettert to Nettie. I am from the Netherlands and moved to NJ when I was 14.
I am divorced, but remarried. First time I was only 19, and married for all the wrong reasons. This time I married my best friend. I've known him since I was 18, but didn't start dating him until I was 29, and we've been married 5 years this June.
I've done all kinds of work, as long as it pays the mortgage, I'm game. Currently free-lance as my little one is only 3. Have a passion for photography. I have a teenage daughter too, who was born when I was a teenager. It blows me away when I look at her and realize at her age, I was 3 years away from having a baby. So I keep on her about getting good grades and staying involved in sports.
My husband is a commercial fisherman. He goes offshore for weeks at a time, Gary and I were just emailing about this, as he read the book that was turned into a movie for which the boat my husband is currently at sea with was leased and used for the film. (The Perfect Storm). Make sense? I'm great with run on sentences!
I used to run marathons but am an unorganized mess lately with myself and maintaining a house, two kids and two dogs while DH is at sea. I need to be more organized and fit this back into my life

I love to cook, entertain friends and family, watch movies, read, marine activities (boating, fishing, lounging) as long as they're not oo active, hee hee hee! And I love this board!

The major part of my work life was with the Teamsters Health and Welfare and Pension Fund. I worked there for 25 years. I am now retired due to health issues.
We have four adult children, and 8 grandchildren, and 2 step grandchildren (but they really are not different from the others.)
I got my first Bulldog after I retired, and now Bulldogs are my passion.
Jane
Are you seriously looking to hire someone?
Seriously...Ill fill you in on why later...lol
yup, about 10 minutes North...
actually run by the same people, but is focused on snorkeling whereas Xcaret offers all sorts of activities.
~cristina~
I had a cocker too: Cookie...
she was white and champagne and was the most loving dog ever!
~cristina~
Kelly, I had a cocker, too...
Muffin. She was buff colored & had the sweetest disposition, so sweet. She's been gone 10 years this summer, but I still miss her sweet little face.
It's really great to know more about you & everyone here, too!
Jodie and Elsa
LISA! LMAO!!!
"Special Bus"??? That is the funniest thing I have ever heard! I thought we were bad with calling Elsa "ADIDAS" (All Day I Dream About Snacks).
Tee-hee! The Down-Syndrome thing is quite accurate, though.
Jodie and Elsa
LMAO Dog with down syndrome
hhahahaha sorry thats not funny but that is so true, thats why we call Milo "special bus" So sorry if I offended anyone.
Here goes nuthin'!
Jodie and Elsa
well now that you mention it
We may be hiring someone in the next few months but the rules are - you have to bring Lola to work with you. And no drinking wine before 1100am hahahah!
Loved Mexico...
My husband and I went to the Mayan Riviera for our honeymoon two years ago and loved it. Didn't go to Xcaret....went to a place called Xel-ha....is that close by?
That's right! I couldn't imagine having another job!loln/m

Re: okay...
Wow...16 years old! I hope my Maverick makes it that long! How does he do with Ruby?
Help wanted?
Lisa, If you ever need anyone to assist you with your travel agency... let me know. Lola and I are more than willing to more to Maui! LOL.
Carolina & Lola
Daphne...
Is my younger sister's name. I love the name but I could never name my child (I am pregnant) that bc she might think I named her, if it is a her after her...don't want that. It is also funny that someone on this board has a bully named Lolita, which is me... neat...
wow...you so stay busy!
better to be busy than bored though...way to go Net!
Lisa is officially kicked off this board. lol
YAY!!!
my story
I am pretty new to this board but hope to be around a while! I am 32 and live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I grew up in Annapolis and have stayed in the area all my life. I am a Director for a market research company (but probably spend more time reading this board than working!). My fiance and I (my second marriage) just built a beautiful house with an acre of land for the pups! We are tying the knot in the Cayman Islands in December. My fiance has 2 small children so I got an instant famly! But I would like one of my own in the near future.
It's been tough getting used to the idea of getting another dog but I know I will love him to death! And Mav will love to have a buddy! My fiance has always wanted a bully and now seemed like the right time.

She had kidney diease and despite the fact that we did eveything we could (we saw specialists, but no cure or even a good treatment for her disease) she became very sick and we had to put her to sleep 4 months ago
Aside from dogs, I enjoy boating (& fishing), traveling, working on the house, and spending time with family and friends.
And Lisa...I also love cheap white wine! Red too
I have a great boss!n/m

Amy & Abby
okay...
I was a hairdresser until my daughter was born.
).

I also love motorcycles, and hope someday to have a custom bike from Jesse James (West Coast Choppers, not the bullie
I'm really glad that I found this board, because sometimes being home with little ones all day can make you feel like you are going insane.
*sorry to write a novel
Here goes
Kelly B and Winston
mine...
And I like cheap white wine.
Ahola.
i'm jealous...
how do you get to bring Abby to work???

Army brat [long]
Lets see I'm older than any of you young ones.
That should cover it from here.
Okay! Well
I am Amy Britt. I am 26 years old. I have been married for 2 years. I live in San Jose, CA now but I am from Hanford, CA which is a small town in Central San Joauquin?sp Valley. Amy & Abby
Wow Nettie-
I knew some of that already about you-a commercial fisherman huh-tough work(I read the book too) and you must be pretty tough also-i would imagine it is hard to have your husband away for such long periods of time.

About myself, Cancun, Dolphins
I love him so , I could just eat him.
if ya really wanna know, *grin* :-)
My name is Nettie, or Net for short. Named after my Grandfather as Mom thought I was gonna be a boy, alas, a girl I turned out to be so she had to shorten the name from Nettert to Nettie. I am from the Netherlands and moved to NJ when I was 14.
I've known him since I was 18, but didn't start dating him until I was 29, and we've been married 5 years this June.

I am divorced, but remarried. First time I was only 19, and married for all the wrong reasons. This time I married my best friend.
I need to be more organized and fit this back into my life
Next?!

Hey Cristina

Carolina & Lola
about me...
My full name is Cristina Delgado Koski, I just turned 28 on May 27, I was born in Cozumel, Mexico and grew up in the jungle on the mainland in a little ranch called Xcaret (45 minutes south of Cancun), I went to college in Massachusetts (wanted to see what Fall and Winter was all about - loved it!), met Darren Koski there (we've been together for 9 years), on the 27 of this month I'll celebrate my 4th wedding Anniversary (he's a lucky guy boy! LOL, and me too!), I've always had animals (growing up in a ranch in the jungle and all) but since college had not been able to jave a pet, Leeloo is my first since then and I am madly in love with her!, we lived in LA for 3 years after Boston and then Mexico for 6 months (back home with the fam) until we finally found "our" place: Miami, we just bought our first home a few months ago, I worked in Colleges/Universities within Residence Life since College and now am looking for a job (in the meantime i'm an office manager for 2 female legal mediators), i'm an only child of divorced parents (i.e. spoiled) and love it that way, i hope to have kids one day (in about 2 years) but for now Leeloo fullfills all my motherly needs. I love to cook, entertain friends and family, watch movies, read, marine activities (boating, fishing, lounging) as long as they're not oo active, hee hee hee! And I love this board!
~cristina~
