Per the thread at the bottom of this page I will addrss teh issues best I can.
This board has always been a great group of people. I feel the best on the web. The latest thing with cody showed a big heart by many, then after the fact even bigger hearts on his future and people with determination to make sure people who sell dogs like that dont do it again.
Whether you agree to it or not is your right,A PERSON HAS THE RIGHT TO SPEND THERE MONEY WHERE THEY CHOICE TO. Was it right to do that, depends on who you ask, but the point is if you want to spend money there you have every right to do so. I think the end result in this case may justify the start of it from a personal note. Cody has friends, love and attention again, an example was made in this case and a dog will again feel love and happiness.
2- The people on this board sometimes have enough and things get overheated. It is human nature. When someone makes comments that are radical or hurting to people and they do it again and again then the pot will melt down and since the posts were made on this board, the replies come back here, it happens everywhere, we're all human. Many feel it is not right to allow posts of hurting nature to keep being posted and they cant say something in return. I dont think this forum is place for any such comments from anyone, but being an open forum it is going to happen. Helen said it best when she said ignore them and with no responce they will go away.
I have had in the past a hard time myslef following that rule, but when i did in the end it did go away since there was no interest in the poster. One of Shelly's friends who is a board moderator where I posted before we had this site years back can tell you that one is true....lol..right wolf....lol..
Also, yes there is a way to make this forum private and require login, require me to approve every single post before it will show up, require login and password plus valid email address to even read this board. I can also allow the ip address of every person who ever posted here to be shown next to there post. With the premium forum I can do all that. However that would in the long run take more away from here than it would do good. This has always been open forum with no log in required or post inspection before allowing a thread on here and I feel that should remain the same as always.
I dont think it would benefit anyone to change any way the board works now in the long run. I can also and have blocked people from this board. I may be a little relaxed on that issue (except when it comes to selling dogs which i always block for doing) but I will again start blocking those who create or make posts that should not have been made, so i will get more strict in that area and help eliminate problems in the future.
So many people come here for help or a question, pop in and ask it and leave, they get help, if they have to go thru a bunch of stuff to post they will not do it. RELAX!! It will get better, always has and will again. Everyone is welcome, I will watch for problem posters and block them. If you feel a post is a real threat or problem email me.
Emotions can get heated, people can get hurt, people will reply when they have had enough, that tois a right they have. When it gets out on the edge I will stop it. I have said and it states atteh top of this forum to email me with any problems, please do that. I dont always see every post and some may require my attention from you to look at. So I would prefer to leave teh forum the way it always has been like it is now and just get more strict on problems. webbie
Very well said...(nm)

Congress shall make no law...
I agree with you about all of us being polite to others and letting others express their opinions. However, I believe that the First Amendment begins "Congress shall make no law...". This does not say, 'Webmasters shall make no rules..." or "Everyone has the right to be rude anywhere and anytime they want." I am a strong believer in the First Amendment in the public forum. However, in my house there are rules of decorum, including what is ok and not ok to say. Out on the street, the First Amendment applies.
If everyone would just eat more Jif
the world would be sooooo mellow. And webbie's job wouldn't be made any harder than it need be.
Just please never block a post that has a photo of a jar of Jif in it.
Do you guys really belive in the first amendment?
I don't know about that post. Some folks ripped people apart who had differing views. I think we should rspect everyone's right to agree or disagree without attacking their personal character, etc...
Re: The first amendment
Very true, and at the same time I feel if theer is problems with a poster or repeat cases, then it becomes a burden and eye sore for the people here and I will just block that poster for the benefit of the board!
I'm not divulging my secrets... =) Heh heh heh.

The first amendment
Very well said! I think we should all enjoy the first ammendment rights that we have. If you see something and you find offensive or you don't agree then don't keep reading. You have the right to read what you want to and don't want to.
Re: As always, thank you Webbie. You are the voice of reason! =)
Oh Julie how did you get the little flower in your email?
As always, thank you Webbie. You are the voice of reason! =) n/m
