I am an ebayaholic. I use paypal - at least once a week. Sad, guilty, and pathetic, I know.....And I won't stop!!!!!!!
I use an account for paypal that has a low balance and isn't connected to anything important.
*I would suggest everyone do the same thing.*
A friend of mine informed me that her AND her accountants' paypal accounts were hacked into....to the tune of 4800 bucks. They were taking out 500. a day before they were caught. It was traced overseas....

Do you mean a "linked" account?
I've seen that Paypal has an option to link to a checking account, but I haven't done that. However Paypal does know the info on my debit card. Are you saying they were hitting the account directly or via a card?

my info on paypal
is my visa check card - so that goes into my checking out....either way, if that is someone's primary account (in my friends case linked too a business account) you could get really screwed.....
