it's a figure 8 harness. I had one for Audrey when she was smaller and we were having a hard time getting one to fit her neck and girth properly. They are VERY adjustable. That 'far back' underbelly strap is why I stopped using it, it would drive me crazy when it slid back like that. The biggest difference between this one and the step in is that this one goes around the dogs neck, and tighens around their neck, and the step in goes around their legs and never pulls on their neck.

when Gus is playing and since his harness has to be on him all the time being deaf..I like the type that I bought for him.. it relaxes and just pulls tight if needed.. it is a gentle lead harness. works best for Gus.. I have a step in for him but do not use it find this one better.. thanks for the compliments.. yea they are pretty much My life..lol it seems I got bully fever too..
I was very interested in the harness you have on Gus. I just bought a step-in "Comfort Wrap" adjustable harness and am not sure I have it adjusted to fit Spanky correctly. Gus's underbelly strap looks like it fits much farther back than Spanky's does. I'm not sure that this is going to work with Spanky, but I thought it might give me some leverage to assist him in hurrying across the street, without pulling on his neck. He was not at all pleased with the idea of the harness on our trial run today.
Again, thanks for the pics. Your bullies are so fortunate to have picked you out of the crowd!
