Pat was silenced

and I'm concerned that she may not feel comfortable posting again. I think her motives were good. In fact, earlier she was complimented for the creativity of her questions, so that may have encouraged her to post them more often. Imagine the shock of being publicly criticized for doing the very same thing. I'm just trying to put myself in her position.

Perhaps instead if she had been emailed privately and asked to limit her curiosity questions to a couple times a week, would that have been better received? I'd like to think about how we can be more considerate of each other, realizing that we all make mistakes.

I tend to agree

Don't at all like how that whole thing went down... and that's all I'm going to say sad.gif

Hi Trish

My guys are doing great. Stitch is tormenting poor Chopper right now. How is Chopper's double Sanford? happy.gif

Come back PAT!

I think you made a wonderful addition to the board!!!

I hope Pat comes back.... I enjoyed most of her post and think

that if you don't want to read them or answer them just skip them and I think as ADULTS we should be capable of making that decision... I don't read all the post just the ones that interest me surely everyone can do that... Just My 2 cents...

Pat, Thank you for all your wonderful....................

posts and pictures. I am sorry that you were attacked in public out of nowhere in such a hurtful matter. But, Wow you did give the members here a chance to express their thoughts. Just look at the size of this thread.

Hope you return.

Well now don't say that Deb

I think about you and Cathie all the time! Now you are forcing me to call you out on here all the time. Every day I will be asking, now where oh where is Deb?? If it makes you feel better no one has ever missed me either, and they sure as heck don't now! lol

Oh Cathi ....OR ME, hehehe

I rarely post anymore. I do read some and I have skipped alot of posts but no one misses me either wink.gif

Dave-I couldn't agree more! The format of this forum

has always driven me nuts!  ANY thread, OT, Bully Talk, or (GASP!) a question from Pat, will get moved down quick especially if people are contributing to the threads!  Isn't that what a forum is for?  To get people talking?  To get people to know each other?  In a forum that works like the one Dave has here is generally a lot easier to use, to find things, to ignore thread & not miss ones you want.  Heck, you even can have it set up if someone replies to your thread.

Telling people they are monopolizing the board, or not contributing what some consider valid threads is subjective to the people reading the threads.  I'm a part of another board that one person complains CONSTANTLY about nothing she can control & it presents a very bad vibe...Pat's questions, or Bully Talk or OT conversations to ME don't present a bad vibe, but clearly for some it did.

Do I lurk more than I post?  Yes, probably but that's only because that's what I want to do, not because I get a bad vibe from posts on here...although some responses, while supposedly helpful, can be quite rude...and that just be the way I read them...not how they were written.  And I realize that and that's why I still come here...to see bullies & read funny stories & ask questions (& pray my questions don't get me flamed)!

And most important is categories

With different categories, all of the O/T and random questions could go into a separate category so you can choose not to even look at that section if you didn't want to. It doesn't restrict anyone from feeling that they shouldn't post because a handful of members don't like it. Noone should be made to feel belittled like Pat was. Period!
