Pat,
Here are some photos of Baby Moses when he was rescued in July, 2007. Someone threw him over the fence at the shelter here where I live. The shelter manager called me and also called the police to make a report. We never found out who he belonged to or where he came from. You can go to this blogspot to see photos of his recovery. Many people helped with his recovery which was very expensive, sent gifts to him, and said many prayers. He was to be put down immediately had we not taken him into our home. It took my husband and I, and the shelter manager about three hours to bath him there were so many fleas, ticks, dirt, and blood. I was sure he was going to die by morning because he was in such bad shape.
You can also go tohttp://babymoses.blogspot.com/ to see progress reports and photos of his recovery.
Before Bathing and cleaning
After Bathing (unfortunately most of his hair fell out)

I've been around Rescue for many years, but Baby Moses
is THE most dramatic turnaround I've seen. Other dogs have overcome severe mange and resulting fur loss and scabs...but to see a dog in such bad shape while still so young...sigh...amazing what a new life he has now.
Bless him
Bless you and your dh and of course big boy Moses, the poor guy had such a rough start. The turnaround is amazing and what a sweet guy despite his early abuse. You have done such an amazing job with him, and he so obviously adores you all for it. He is a sweetie!
I hope one day the devil that did that to him gets caught, you are an evil person to do that to a sweet dog.
Sweet Baby Moses...isn't that the truth!
Such a lucky day, the day he found you...

There was a show on T.V. last night (I had to turn it off) about cruelty to animals and how the perpetrators should face the same sentence as child abusers/pedophiles and the likes. IT IS SO WAY OVERDUE.
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE FOR BABY MOSES AND ALL THE OTHERS!
Much love to you!

I have followed his story from Day 1.....
This boy has my heart! His recovery is a miracle. Lisa truly saved his life.

he is georgous though..is that as big as he will get...LOL
he is totally a love bug in the pics..
was soo surprised when I seen his pic today on the other thread
did not get the diet pic but NOW I sure do..
after seeing his before pics..
can not say enough about him.
I am glad that I braved it..and read the blog...
took a bit..
you can sure see in the pics how he is just like any other bulldog out there
full of antics
what do you call him ...a piebald?? or a brindle?
Moses was between 6 and 9 monthes old when he was rescued. He we
35 pounds and now weighs between 75 and 80 pounds. He had pyoderma, demodex, and every kind of parasite except for heartworms. We were very thankful for that!! He also has a thyroid problem due to the starvation and takes a thyroid tablet every day. This is another reason for the weight problem.

I read lots of the stories and seen the threads on them.........
some are very very sad..
but the change is remarkable..
someone up above is helping ..no doubt..
but in Moses case
a miracle for sure..
what a doll he turned out to be
how old do you think Moses is??
what I found amazing is how he is still able to play. that is a great thing.
I have a rescue pug here too...seen the change ...a happy home can make but it took a year and half to get him to this spot in his life. my pug has made me shed more tears then you can imagine. the first time he played was a big deal here.. that is what I found soo amazing with Moses is that he was playing so soon after the rescue.
great job
enjoyed his story and his blog
Pat, you need to know the story of Miss Blakely, Sugar, and many
rescues that are on this board. I give all credit to God for healing and the privilage of loving and caring for one of his creatures during their short time on this earth.

It's hard to believe that there are monsters that could do that to ANY dog much less a sweet bully like Baby Moses.

This is one of my top favorite rescue stories......
