Our Story...'Bout Us'
Submitted by Andrea Ruby Lol... on April 21, 2010 - 12:35amI met my husband while living in Victoria in 1977 and the rest is history. He and I are owned by these guys...what can I say.
Personally,I have been in the breed for 36 years, we got our first Bulldog from...gotta love this...'JUNGLE JIM'S PET STORE"! there was no such thing as internet in those days and my dad had always wanted a Bulldog, so when he saw her, 'Winston'!(my brother named HER)...she came home and I was deeply in love from the very 'get-go'! OMG I could not believe how CUTE she was!
We also have a Pug (our second one) and a rescue Pom. and have been owned by 8 different Bulldogs in all those years. I have shown and finished 4 AMERICAN/CANADIAN CHAMPIONS...it is my passion. I love to go to the shows and meet up with everyone. I have NEVER met a nicer group of people in my life.
I am a Registered Nurse (Maternity and Special Care Nursery) for the past 30 years. My other passion is running, I have done Marathons, half marathons and many TRIATHLONS.
Our son is 26 and has a Boston Terrier (smart as can be!)...he treats her like gold.
I started on BDW when I was off work for a torn tendon on one of my fingers. This place has been one of the best additions to my BULLDOGGING ever.
Thank you one and all for all your wonderful posts on a daily/weekly basis. It feels like 'home' when I get here! I am a bulldogger-blogger-jogger! hahaha!

Lola is the love of Miss Ruby's life
no kidding, Ruby was sleeping her life away...and...then...Lola came running up the stairs...Ruby was ~ 9 mos. old and Lola was ~4 1/2 mos. old when Lola arrived...Ruby's eyes flew open and it was love at first sight...they started tearing around the house like maniacs and were BEST FRIENDS FOREVER...INSEPARABLE!

You are so sweet yourself!
I truly enjoyed meeting with you and was IN AWE WHEN I SAW YOU TAKING OFF TO DRIVE HOME THAT NIGHT!!!! You are one strong woman to drive all night like that! I commend you, your family are so very lucky to have you! and TRACE did so well for his first NATIONALS! you must be very proud. He has great lineage!

I never thought I would have
a Pug...but...Coco was a dearheart and now LOLA is one of the loves of my life...she stirs the pot and gets the big guys shakin' and a movin'! hahaha!!! they are very loyal and much like a baby.
