She is getting bi-lateral Cochlear Implant surgery done tomorrow. All thoughts and prayers would be appreciated....I am a bit nervous for her since it is so soon after her concussion. It has only been 4 weeks....so I worry....

On March 9th. It was odd, she is profoundly deaf bi-laterally, but last night when she had her hearing aids in (which are only to get her used to having something in and around her ears, they don't help her hear at all), but we were at sign language class and Audrey had her aids in, and the lady talking to Katie said something to Audrey and Auddie looked right at her and freaked out! We think somehow she heard the ladies voice. Very odd, but also an indicator of how she is going to respond when they turn the implants on.

rooting for her. She will be in great hands with whoever is doing the surgery. I am sure you must be worried. That is natural...my biggest and best prayers and wishes for a full recovery are with you at this stressful time.

Will she hear things for the first time? I hope all goes well.
I have heard is is a little disconcerting when they first hear noises. I'll pray for a smooth surgery and a miraculous outcome. Hugs,

Oh you know you would worry anyway
That's what Grandmas do. Seriously though I will be thinking of Audrey and keeping her in my prayers.

It looks like I won't be going to Dallas shows next month after all. Darn it! We'll just have to get together some other time.
I will be praying for her..
I pray for a smooth surgery and a GREAT success with the implants. :0
