About a two years ago I attended a bulldog specialty show in Pigeon Forge, TN. Some friends and I rented a cabin in Wears Valley. I found about three large flat rocks in an embankment close to the cabin brought them home with me. (Don't know why, but I liked them) The other day I could not get my feet warm. So, I took the rocks, put them in the oven, and heated them for about 15 minutes at 200 degrees. Then I put them in a flannet pillow case and took them to bed with me. I put them against my feet and I stayed warm all night. It was wonderful. Anyone else ever do this or am I the only redneck hillbilly on the board.
A Moses picture just for good measure.

not that but.............I heated OATS in a pillow case ONE TIME
it was really really cold here
I got a empty pillow case and filled it with oats and heated it in the mircowave..
worked like a charm to get warm in a pinch..
I know have a snuggly..LOL that works too..
you just jump into it and it zips all over the place and keeps me insulated..
I do not like being cold..
MOSES is a sweetie..
love this pic of him..
love his markings and colour
Why would you hate wearing socks to bed, especially in winter?
And especially if not wearing them means trying to sleep with cold feet? What about sleeping under an electric blanket?

Did you try wearing two pair of socks?
I had the cold feet problem for a few months several years ago. A friend's wife suggested I wear two pair of socks. It worked like a miracle.

i found some stones at a flea market....
they were used for bed warmers and they stay warm for hours....i heat mine on the wood stove....put them their in the am .....only thing is i have to fight wilson and charlie because they love them....
Rice in tube socks...
then tie a knot at the end. Heat for 2-3 minutes in the micro & voila...not cold anymore! These stay warm for a couple hours and by then your body heat does the rest! When it's real cold I'll use one for my feet, and one snuggled next to my tummy

it aggrevates me to have something on my feet under the covers.
house just don't like to wear socks.
