Thanks, Deb!
What a nice thing to say. I enjoy them so much..and it is nice and peaceful hanging out in the room with them
Bullies and Snakes :)
Wilbur and Gretta love hanging out in the snakeroom (but not for too long..too hot in there for them). I think Wilbur enjoys it so much because he is intrigued by how the snakes smell..and he knows the rule..you want to come into the room..you have to sit and behave. Gretta loves it because I have a hand held sprayer from Home Depot to spray the enclosures/snakes with water (they like high humidity)..and when I am done spraying I stick the nozzle in Gretta's mouth so she can have a drink
your funny!!

I am very impressed!!!
You are so knowledgable! i would imagine its very peaceful being around them. Thanks for the info.

thanks, they are beautiful.
What do your bulldogs think if them?

:)
See how fat she looks?? And she is not coiled up very tightly...they get uncomfortable..have that mid body swelling and change positions constantly
Taking them out...
THe branches that they are on are easy to remove from the enclosures, so I take a branch out with a snake on it and then they uncoil and crawl around. All of mine are docile, but at night that changes because that is when feeding reponse kicks in..if I were to put my hand in a cage at night I would be bitten.
The snake room is in the low eighties..and in the cages the warm end is about 85, cool end in the seventies.
You sure you don't want to know what they eat?? lol...
How do you know if they are ovulating??
They are purty, but like Victoria, i'll also admire them from a distance.
do u take them out
and hold them? or do you give talks on them for school groups. how hot is it in the snake room? i dont want to know what they eat... LOL
Deb & Kaddison
Thanks, Deb
Males will fight with one another...they should never be housed together...they all have their own enclosures unless a breeding pair is together. My largest one is about five feet long..but it is hard to tell because they are almost always coiled on their branches
I have to say
they have the most amazing colors!!! i especially like the first pic. changing color. Dumb question..but do they fight with one another? Are they kept seperate from one another or all in the same cage? How big is the oldest one?
Deb & Kaddison
Lol
I can respect that, Victoria..I know not everyone is fond of them
...although they do tend to grow on you
Cool pictures but you can keep them far away at your house...
I'll admire them from a distance, lol!!!!!!!
My 3 yr old seen the pics and said she wants one but dad and I are just not having it, haha!
Hey Brian..long and more pics :)
I bought my first snake, a Ball Python, about 15 years ago..I still have him
. I have been keeping Chondros (Green Tree Pythons) for about 6 years..and am lucky enough to have 14 of them in my snake room right now. They are gorgeous...as babies they are either neon yellow with some red markings or maroon/brown..and as they mature they change color.

As with Bulldogs, it is very important to find a good breeder. Many of these snakes are imported from Indonesia and come with health issues/parasites..captive born and bred Chondros, in my opinion, are the only way to go...
I can tell you lots more...I love these snakes
Here is a color changing yearling :
Another one changing color:
