O/T: does anyone have a fax machine within reach?

if so, would you mind faxing me a piece of paper with something very brief written on it, such as "Hello Gary?" I bot a new All-In-One machine and I want to make sure I set up the "receive" fax function correctly. I don't want to type my fax number in this post, tho, becuz there are bots that go thru message board posts looking for telephone numbers and fax numbers to send junk faxes, calls, to.

Thus, please email me for my fax number. Thanks.

Never mind, just found out there is no such list

at least not a legit one. There is a fake one, centered in the Caribbean, that uses its site to get fax numbers to send junk faxes to.

If you do get some junk there's usually a number on the bottom in small print to call and remove your number from their list. :P

Put your fax # on the "do not call list"

The Distinctive Ring service picked up the fax after the second ring, just as it is supposed to do. But for a minute or so, it looked like your fax was sent to memory because nothing printed out and the Memory light came on. But it finally printed out.

Now if I can only figure out how to block all the junk faxes I get every week. I sometimes get five or six per day.
