We were back out on the lake today. I've been trying and trying to get some good pelican pics. Darn things don't like to hold still! Pride thinks I'm silly to be taking pictures of stupid birds when she's available ....
I think I spent too much time on the boat today ... I still feel the rolling motion.
Great!! .... do you guys like to shovel manure?
And how are you at fixing fences?
C'mon over!
I second that suggestion
I know John would DRAG me there
doh..that was my first thought but their bills didn't look big e
the ones in the Carolinas are brown..and have scoops like bulldozers...very beautiful pictures..you sure do live in God's country...ce
The fourth one is a perfect pelican photo
and all the rest are great. I envy you, having such great scenery to photograph. My "wildlife" photos are of a bird in my backyard sycamore, lol. Really wild country there. Tho, when I first moved in and the subdivision was barely developed, there used to be deer who would come drink from the pond. And rats the size of poodles, tho without the froo froo hair cuts. Thank goodness, or otherwise they would win the best in class at Westminister.
Yep .... bigger than turkeys!
You'd be amazed at how high they can fly! They gather in groups and circle WAY up ... very cool to see.
Dang!!!!! thats some really BIG birds......
very nice pictures:)---sure glad they didnt fly over any-one and leave a good luck splat
Pelicans ...... and the fishermen hate them
because they feed on fish. Speaking of fishermen, check out this pic. Can you tell the fish were biting in this corner of the lake? I've titled these pics "Rush Hour".

Maybe we should have
the 3rd bulldogsworld fest in Montana. Your pictures of the scenery there are just beautiful!
A-W-E-S-O-M-E...beautiful national geographic stuff...
I love the foot landing splash..and of course the last one all your cranes?herons?feathered friends in a row..beautiful...ce
oops, that was me posting ....
Had to use the extra account for Wayne 'cause the temp file was full.
Show John these .....
These are the southern and eastern views from the two windows of our guest room. Does John like to hunt and fish? .... then he and Wayne should have a great time together!

OMG.....I don't think I can show John this...
I'll have to let him answer you himself later.
Yep ... spacious guest room
Queen bed and room for at least 4 large dog crates. Panoramic and peaceful views of Montana grainfields.
I can shovel, John does fences....
I used to have a horse when I was in high school, so I can shovel the manure.
John worked for years before the Post Office for a fence company. You can't drive anywhere in Nevada, north or south, that he won't point some place out and say "I did that fence"...
So now Gail, you have an extra bedroom for us?? I think we're heading north...
I love them all...
You have a great eye for this stuff...
I always enjoy your photos..
I like the 3rd one
