Having a filmmaker in the fam (or two!) can come in handy sometimes! Thanks to son, Jake, you get to see firsthand our little girls in action...doing what puppies do best!

Some photos of mealtime...
Miga munching in the midst of the maidens...
Quatchi quaffing some brew...
Mukmuk masticating (well--no teeth yet, so technically not CHEWING, but it was an "M" word that tied in with mealtime!)...
Sumi slurping away...
And the resulting "Milk Hangovers"...
...Miga mesmerized.
...Quatchi quenched.
...Mukmuk muddled.
...and Sumi snockered.
O what BLeSSed BLiSS doth come, when meals at Mother's table done!
Wonderful video Cheryl and great job Jake

Pip LOVES to be held like that...
When she was born she was very tiny--and stayed about half the size of her littermates for those early weeks. The breeders young daughter loved to carry her around on her back like a baby...she STILL likes it
Just so, so very sweet...
Also I didn't get to comment yesterday but the photos of the puppy with your gorgeous grandson were just amazing & wonderful. Thanks for sharing all the beautiful pics with us.

The LINK above works...
it's just that it won't let me embed the video into the message for some reason

thanks for that info...one of the reasons..I love this board..is
the chances to hear and see these babies soo small.
you can see it on the net but to see it and hear it from someone that you chat too..
it makes it even more special
thanks for sharing..
I thought you might have had to turn her over...
some bullies might not like to be laying on their back like that..
but seems Pip is fine with it..
soo cute
Oh my! They are soooo sweet. And look at that Gabie! How gentle
made my day, Cheryl. Thanks!

That was so cute...
...that words escape me. What beautiful babies and such a beautiful momma! Thank you so much for sharing those gorgeous babies with us.
Cheryl & Atlas
Would you believe that WASN'T Pip checking Mukmuk out...
...that was Big Brother, Gabe! Pip is VERY protective of her babies at first and won't allow the other dogs near them. But Gabe just can't resist...he very quietly has been sneaking up behind me and laying down, not making a peep--so he can try to sneak a peek!
Another reason I do it...
is that their incision from the section can get real moist between those bulky bully bags and this helps it to "air out" a bit while it's in the beginning stages of healing. After the pups have grown a bit more and not so likely to be squished, (and the stitches are out) I'll let her position herself however she wants--in a couple weeks.

I help her over like that...
it's a good position for bully pups when they're newborns so Momma doesn't lay on them, and their noses are raised up more so not so likely to aspirate. Also they can get to all of the nipples easier
Puppies love to crawl underneath Mom a bit and if she happens to sit up partially, or rock over onto her stomach more, she can squish a tiny pup or suffocate them as bully Moms are so bulky compared to their newborns.

a few questions...??? lol
first of all that cutest thing I have seen..in my life.
and wow have they grown already..
first question
Does the MOM PIP just lay down for this on her own or do you have to put her like that?
for some reason I always thought puppies nursed with the mom on her side..no sure why..lol
the other big question..
is HOW cute does it get???
way to cute for words..
way to go Pip and Cheryl
I love that video.....
it was just so wonderful....such a beautiful time and the music was just awesome!

O M G how cute can it get? Lil Mukmuk licking the air/sucking her tongue then Pip checking her out just made my WEEK! The little wiggly squirmy boogers! I loved all the pics too, especially that last one! Pip is the best Mommy!
