OK, so no more Nutro for Lucy, Wellness seems to be the solution. How do I ween her?
Submitted by admin on April 20, 2010 - 5:25pmSo, how do I ween Lucy onto a food better for her tear stains? It sounds like you guys are saying Wellness. How do I switch her over? I've read mix the food, but how much and for how long?

I swear by Natural Balance Duck and Potato, if you can get it in your area. My Annie had horrible tear stains her whole life, she 4, and since being on Nautral Balance Duck and Potato, her tear stains are COMPLETLEY gone, and I dont even have to wash her face daily!
Do a Dick Van Patten Natrual Balance search and then from the site you can search who sells it in your area.
start slowly...
her normal feeding of Nutro with a small bit of wellness..and then the next day ...maybe 3/4 butro..1/4 wellness...for a few days..then half and half..and work your way up to more wellness and less nutro..but go slowly I always take 7-10 days if I must switch foods..hope this helps your little beauty...smile...ce
I mixed one cup of one and one cup of the other
This went one for a while. I buy the big 30 lbs bags and started half way down. Lily loves the lamb and rice Wellness. Her coat is softer and definately has more energy. Her tear stains are just that stains. I try to clean them. They haven't gotten any worse.
