I have tryed to sit back and stay clear of the talks on this situation with Cody from the start. If you notice most my posts were few, yet simple when I did post. I try to post the least on the board of anyone so as I can sit back and look at it from a neutral point. As webmaster I MUST remain fair and equal to everyone and will always do that. I can only call them as I see them and then make a choice on things.

I wont say whether i agreed or disagreed with this situation, as webmaster it is not fair and really guys I'm neutral on the isssue. I have in the past let posts stand which I from a personal point of view strongly disagreed with or thought was wrong. As webmaster I learned long ago, be fair and be open or you have nothing, very true! I never tell anyone I'm good at anything, I'm at best average, at very best....lol.. I treat everyone with respect and honesty. So the point here is this, I would like to think I'm very good at being fair and treating everyone the same way I would want to be treated.

That said,
let me point out a few things. I have had well over 150 emails in the first 24 hours of this cody donation drive, everything from good to bad, all points were good points and well respected. Now in the last 12 hours I have had almost as many, good and bad. I understand the view that 1300.00 would have went a LONG ways to help several rescues or split between many to help with lots of small things.

I undertsand that no one would have paid 1000.00 for a dog in horrible health, that has one foot in the grave and that the breeder (if you can call him that) is laughing all the way to the bank today and that it is very wrong.

I understand there is better ways and that in time he would have surrenedered him or basically gave him to a good home or maybe sold him to the puppymillers for a few hundred. I understand that this kind of situation only supports the greed and unethical situations of such a breeder, use him up, starve him, neglect him, then sell him for about the price of a puppy after studding im to death.

I understand that buying these dogs will only promote the continued works of such people. I understand that paying that kind of money for this dog was incredible. All these based on what I got in email from people. I understand that theer was a personal goal in mind with a dog which was so nice and beautiful at one time is now a pale reminder of his once giant dreaming self. I understand where the heart was at with those who wanted to save him, with those who wanted to make a difference with this dog, for those who took there time and troubles to go get him and to give him a new life.

I understand the motives and reasons why it was done, and any animal deserves the best in life, at the same time how many would have got a chance with teh same amount of money if used for multi rescues. I understand why some are mad that they did there end of the deal and now the dog future is not what it was suppost to be.

That what they were trying to do did not happen and understand those who are thrilled with it regardless cause he is out of the place. So there are views to all sides and good points and bad ones as well. I'm myself not sure where this will lead. I can also say that all monies donated to the cody deal was done free and clear by the choice of those doing it, no one was forced to do that, it was done from the heart, and it was there money and they was free to do it.

So you see this is 50/50 split amoung people on this board, and many more who read but dont post.....I now have a rescue fund set up for future needs of all bulldogs in need and bulldoggers who are in need. Just send any donations to the usual paypal address webmaster@bulldogsworld.com or click the button at the top of this forum and make a donation. PLEASE INCLUDE THE WORDS EMERGENCY FUND OR EF) in your donation and 100% will be used for that fund. If no EF is included in the donation then it will be assumed it is a site donation only,. or you can choice part for both reasons, like make it a 50/50 donation. Right now we need to start geting funds for this new fund so we can help those in need in the future, there are rules and votes going to be allowed by you guys, you will have the choice where, when and how much will go to what as needs come in to us in random order for where funds go and things will be verifed by me that there actually true first.

I will only ne the keeper of the gate here, I will only pass on the requests and verify them, then you will decide if it happens or not. I will get details on that soon.
