cut and paste hand in aveeno and jif for days....grin..
I know folks will understand if some bullies are missing...it's never on purpose..but after days and nights of cutting these lovies out..your mind does indeed play tricks...why in Robins card there is even a saint bernard...imagine that ...chuckle...
...you are the bullie king for the day..smile
now how do we get Lu to see this?
LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
hope she heard me I just blew my vocal cords...and woke all the yelpsters in the neighborhood...
I am cracking up at the names of the bullie brigades..and all your little inserts of good stuffs....awesome Gary...completely awesome!your my cut and paste bullie hero...hiphip hurrah!ce
Steve is a very wise man, Ce
You should never use the word "softy" in reference to a post puberty male, lol. You sure you aren't a secret operative for Viagra? Or Dairy Queen?
i HONESTELY
did enjoy it very much...esp. the wit and humor that was part of it.

There are a couple things i want to talk to you about, regarding Jisel and the end of the book, though...
Need to get into chat one night...
Maybe you can still write a childrens book and just have "digital" art for the illustrations...or Ce can draw some pics..
Cause i can't even draw a stick-person...its really sad, though...
There are 3 things i always had a great desire to do...
1. sing - even as a baby Melissa would start to cry or squirm when i sang to her....its THAT scary..sigh
2. paint - I want to paint pictures...oilpaintings, drawings, anything, i see it in my head, my fingers itch to do it....and i honestely can't even draw a tree for the life of me.....sigh
3. write - I have such great stories in my head...and some of my dreams would make the best (and scariest..lol) stories ever....but for the life of me, again, i can't bring the words to paper...
So maybe you could either use your digital art (that would be kind of cool, actually) or get someone to help with that part of the book. Hey the story can be about the bulldogs on this board, and you can use your digital art.....hehe.
Lu
amen family is family and Victor is an honoray ....smile
and yes you will always have us..however I will pray for your hubby is able to stay right here in the states...more smiles and hugs..and give my big sweet victor a huge hug from ce...
ah gary don't second guess your work...Clovis is a bigger then l
is befitting to her....smile //I'll work on the sigs....ce
Great idea -- and, oh, could you send the photos to Stephen Spie
I need to be rescued from the legal profession, lol, so I can become a full time writer and director. Okay, just kidding about the Spielberg thing.
I have thought about doing a children's book, tho I'm so bad at art that I cannot even draw a decent circle unless I have something to trace. Someone else recently posted a message on here saying they were doing a children's book involving bulldogs.
Hey, did you really enjoy my novel, The Bridge Tender?? If you didn't, please say so, I can do re-writes.
you know...
i still feel blessed to have found this place. Even though i couldn't keep Harley, everybody here just embraced me and let me stay as a friend.

And this place and you wonderful people have helped me through some rough times...the wonderful words and emails and the encouragement was often the only thing to make me smile..(well aside from my goofy daughter and crazy animals..lol)
It makes me wonder sometimes, how so many nice people found each other right here in this place. This is unlike any other online forum i have ever seen.
I still hope that somehow, someday i can have my own bullie again. But i know that until then i will still have a place in this family, and that is so nice to know..
I am enjoying time with hubby and hope they won't send him back once the 2 weeks are over.....esp. since the entire unit will have to go back to Afghanistan soon anyway.....sigh.
But we will see....i know i can always come here and be cheered up when i need it..
Lu
How about . . . .
Gary P. Landry, Pulitizer and Nobel winning novelist? Okay, wishful thinking, so just the Gary P. Landry will do. Or, Gary, Boo & Clovis.
Cat Bast@#d is giving me such dirty looks, tho, that I may have to squeeze him in also. I also should have reduced the size of Clovis' pic. I was trying to make it big enough so the guys in the Aviation Brigade could read the name of the Mardi Gras parade (Endymion) on the medallion around her neck. But it's still legible, and her size takes away from the pretty dunes.
Gary.....
you know....i have had this idea in my head for awhile..
I think you are such an awesome person, with such a gift (writing with wit and humor)
Wouldn't it be FUN if you wrote a little childrens book...?
You could put all the bullies in it somehow, and even use your artistic skills to have some illustrated pages...hehe.
Just a booklet of some sort....I WOULD BUY IT IN A HEARTBEAT. Melissa loves bulldogs, and she loves good humor in a book...
I dunno...just an idea floating around in my head. Ya know i wish i could do that...i really have the desire to make such a booklet, but i just don't have the talent..lol. But I enjoy reading them.
Lu
how would you like it signed?what name ?
I'll pop it in....ce
I would love that...
my printer is "ok"...but its not quite photo quality....
I will still print it out anyhow, because i love it..hehe.
You really outdid yourself...BUT you need to figure out how to "sign" your artwork...You work so hard on it...your signature belongs on there...
Lu
chuckle ....sorry about the drastic yell Lu...but
I couldn't have you miss Garys wonderful gift....smile
and I agree with all your kind words about Gary...
I told Hubby that Gary is a big softy...but he suggested I not use those words....lol
so I'll just say he's a big lovie and a heart hug...and I owe him him so much for what he did for sweet Cody....
I wish I could see your Hubbies face when he reads and sees Garys work....chuckle...I love the titles he gave all the brigades...hugs Lu..it must be strange and wonderful to be able to really hug hubbie in person when ever you wish....smiles and Be joy ..you've sure earned that ...ce
Not sure about that, I'll have to ask my experts, Ce and Lynn
plus, finding an empty space on the photos for it may prove challenging, lol.
Why, thank you!! Let me know if it's too big to print out
I saved the two photos in three different sizes each, including a legal size in landscape orientation for anyone who wants to print them out on long paper (tho I think someone would have to use regular paper for that -- as far as I know, photo paper does not come in legal size).
I hope Roger's unit enjoys the photos. If you do not have a photo printer at home, let me know. I have a Canon i850 that prints just amazingly beautiful photos, better than what photo labs do with 35 mm film. I'll be happy to print them out and mail them to you.
also....Gary....
is there a way to add your name to the pics? Like that shadow printing, that you can see right through, or to squeeze it in some empty spot....if ya can find one...hehe.
I really think your name should be on it.
If not, i will print it out and just handwrite your name on the bottom of each pic...
Lu
GARY!!!!READ ABOVE....:)
please....
Lu
i just fell out of bed....
I heard this LOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUDDDDDDDDD yell that scared the jeepers out of me....and i thought it sounded something like Ce...hm....since i don't have her phonenumber i decide to go check on her on the forum.....lol.

And what do i see?
GARY< YOU'RE DA BOMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You did a AWESOME job!! It looks just to cool!!
I'm printing it out and hubby will take it to work to hang up on the bulleting board.
You know, you are such a good person...caring, self-less (are you really a lawyer???just kidding..hehe) and always concerned about others...Really, without you, Cody would possibly be dead now, or still suffering, and thats the truth. You made it happen. You always either help, advise or cheer up people on here.
You are a very important part of our "forum-family" and it needs to be said...
Gary, you are awesome!!
Right now my hubby is grocery shopping....HEHEHE...i hate to go do that, so i sent him instead...
When he gets back, i will let him look at it and he will reply, also.
Thank you..Gary
Lu
Oh, I wish my novel was published
and a best seller, of course, lol. I'm thinking about self publishing it, tho. First need to find a good book cover artist.
I wonder if any kids would like a book about fried chicken lovin
Thanx for the great idea. And I definitely know what you mean about not being able to draw. I had a client who was an artist. Sometimes when we were at lunch, he would pull out a napkin or place mat and start absentmindely drawing as we talked. He an amazing ability to draw utterly perfect circles while barely paying attention to what he was doing. I can't draw a decent circle free hand even if I trace around the bottom of a glass.
Not sure, but I think Robin also is getting into doing water colors.
Where ....
can I find a copy of that novel? I did not see it because I am reasonably new here. I would love to read it!!
