Oh you guys are too much! What we won't do for our dogs. Rugby still is enjoying her tire biter. All I hear is squeek, squeek, non stop! This dog has some serious Obsessive compulsive disorders! But I confess I did not chew on the tirebiter before I gave it to her.LOL
...Julia suggested this to me and it worked perfectly.. Now it's her favorite bone or toy. (..I couldn't believe I was sitting in front of the TV chewing on a dog bone though..)
Once the ends are chewed off, throw them away. How long the log is interested in them depends on the dog. Maybull has so many toys, she'll play with one, abandon it for another, then another, but she'll eventually get back to the first. I don't know if there's any flavor, but she certainly enjoys chewing and chewing.
Bullies love new toys. Get your bullie a new toy, even a slightly different Nylabone. In a while, you'll find that the old toy is of interest again.
Grover's Nylabones (the super hard Galileo and the chicken infused one that looks like a dino bone) are gnawed on on a nightly basis. And we've had them literally forever. The newest addition, the giant super hard turkey leg is the new victim.
We don't do well with stuffies... he hates anything rubber... so these are pretty much his only toys. And he adores them.
And I don't think he cares about flavor because he loves his Galileo more than his chicken bone!

if they are the hard smooth ones..the bumpy ones would last time wise but most good chewers can do a number on chumping them...if she has lost interest try rubbing it down with a bit of pesnut butter..or chesse..or burger..or anything that puts a scent on it...or and don't laugh cause I'm not the first one to do this...you can droll on it..or lick it...(yuck)or just basically add your saliva...and it can re perk her interest....good luck..ce
Absolutely forever!
Opal has them in every shape, size & color. She loves them. NO RAWHIDE OR PIGS EARS HERE.
She also likes rope toys, squeek toys & absolutely has to have her sucky.
My butt would like Nylabone to come out with a chocolate one.
The neverending, no fat containing, teeth cleaning chcolate nylabone for humans.

BOY would my butt be a lot smaller!
Julia
Too bad it didn't taste like potatoe chips..
that would be so cool! The neverending potatoe chip nylabone. No calories. I must be dreaming again.LOL
I don't blame you, Cindy. For the record...
I have not chewed on a TireBiter either!!!!!!!!!!

I'm with Grover on this one... the super-rubbery smell is enough to prevent me from tasting it!!!!!!
(OMG... I need Lisa's wine to protect me. I have no excuse for my ridiculous posting tonight.)
Julia
The answer?
NO.
Of course not. I looked like an idiot, wasted a minute of my life, and was left with a nasty plastic-y aftertaste in my mouth.

But Grover thinks it's yummy. Go figure!
Julia
Well Julia.....
Did it taste like chicken??? Do tell
I'm laughing so hard...

Boy what kind of diet are you all on
It sounds like it would be less fatting than the chips. Probably good for your teeth.
OMG, OMG...HA HA HA! You're making me look like a lunatic! =)
Hee hee hee!!!!!!!!!! I'm dying over here.
Oh my gosh.......
I said RUB YOUR OWN SALIVA ON IT!!!!!!!!!!!

I never said CHEW ON IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh I'm going to pee in my pants from the image of Robin hanging out watching TV, gnawing on a Galileo bone while Maggie and Sophie watch jealously.
Julia
p.s. That's not to say I've never TRIED a nylabone... I did once try to see if the gumabone chicken infused one tasted at all like chicken...
that's what I do...oh my true confessions of nylabone chewers...
n/m
Galileo... ...chew on it before they ever get it...

Same thing with Monty.
Chewed like crazy for a couple of weeks & hasn't looked/touched it since.

But I know what you mean after awhile mine quit chewing them. I don't know if it's out of bordom or lack of flavor.
