Today, being the good bully momma I am I decided to pick Daisy up some Nylabones -- I got the non-edible ones. One is flavored Liver and the other Chicken -- Well, Daisy could care less about them! Ugh! I didn't want to get the edible nylabones because I had before and they break off in small pieces all over my house. So my question is, how can I get her interested in them. I thought I read somewhere on the board before where some of you put them in the microwave -- what does that do to them???
Kim & Daisy
Well I don't know about the micro but
some of said to rub cheese or peanut butter or anything that the dog likes on it and some say just to chew on it or rub your saliva on it. I don't have that problem with mine so I don't know which would be best.
Re: Nylabones
Some dogs like to have a bone that has already been chewed on a bit. I give new puppies pre-chewed nylabones, until they get the hang of it. I think puppies like the fuzzy texture and it helps them get the idea. My roomie's puppy won't even touch a brand new nylabone, but loves the used ones. I don't know where you can get a pre-chewed nylabone if you don't own another dog to chew it, but it is a suggestion. Good luck!
