miracles happen every day, I had a friend that had a 31 week baby and it was a long hard struggle but all turned out fine and Rebecca Kate is now 3 and thriving.

and will definitely keep your friend and her baby in my prayers. I know how it is to want a baby and not be able to have one. For a while I thought maybe I'd never have any children of my own -- now I have 3 thanks to fertility medicines.

A note of encouragement -- my sister in law had a baby at 29 wks on March 20th. Elizabeth was only 2.5lbs -- she lost down to under 2lbs. Today she is home with her mommy and daddy weighing in at 6lbs. So tell your friend not to give up hope. Please let us know how things turn out. They certainly can do amazing things now a days!

...it is so true.. ..they can do so much nowadays.. ..the best of care for the tinest one!! ..i used to work with babies who started in NICU and there are some real miracle babes out there.. ..we will keep her in our prayers!! ..all will be well..!!

In my job, I see so many people who shouldn't have had children at all.

And then there are those who deserve to be parents and have so many barriers placed in their way.

It's not fair.

I had Toxemia and Preclampsia (sp?). I was in and out of the hospital and when my liver started to fail, I was put in again. That night they did the daily ultrasound and he was apparently dying. He quit moving, breathing movements, etc. It was a long night and they did an emergency C-section to get him out.

He was in the hospital for the longest month of my life! He weighed 3 pounds 2 ounces and lost down to 2 pounds, 5 ounces before he started gaining any back.

Peter is 4 years old now and wearing a boys size 6 clothes! He is my monster child and you would never know from looking at him what a rough start he had.

Just keep thinking good thoughts for her and her baby. 30 weeks isnt impossible. Ill be thinking of her. Seems like yesterday I was in that same boat.

Please keep us posted...my thoughts are with her.

Having gone thru fertility treatments, and then finally getting pregnant, only to miscarry, I can totally understand the pain and fear your friend is going thru. My heart breaks for her, and PLEASE let us know how things go.

It might be a long struggle ahead, but hopefully the baby will be fine.
