to answer a few questions...
we found Diesel at a reptile emporium....
and my son was instantly in love with him..(me too)we visited him often..and finally worked out some payments and brought him home about 5 years ago...for my sons birthday and christmas present.
...we were told he was about 2 at the time..but the reptile vet said he was much older closer to 4 or 5..so he passed at about age 9.
I'm not sure how long they live normally.
he was indeed a gentle very affectionate little dragon.
he loved to have his ears rubbed,....and if I rubbed his left one he would lean into it..and when I rubbed the right one..he would lean that way...smile
liked his belly stroked too...
....they go black colored when upset..or nervous...and make their beards huge...
but Diesel stayed a beautiful happy golden color almost all the time...and we only saw his beard out when he hunted his food...
.....he spent alot of time on my keybaord or my shoulder..(along with the gump tree frogs)and loved to go for walks about the village on my shoulder on his leash...quite a sight to see me walking the yelpster with a dragon on my ahoulder..he was about 17" long half of that being tail...he will indeed be missed...thank you all...ce

I am sorry to hear about Diesel. It is never easy to lose a pet, doesn't matter if they are furry or scaley, they all have a place in our hearts and homes.

How need. Isn't it amazine how you can even get attached to a dragon. My daughter loves the Komona Dragons and has to see them every time we go to a zoo. We go to all zoo when we take vacation. Daughter is 30.

of his passing over. How old was he?? Tell us some more about how he came into your family's life. Also, what is the average life of a bearded dragon. And finally -- and not least important -- did he know Puff?? [just kidding, i really loved that song when I was a kid. When I saw the movie Meet The Parents a couple of years ago, I was actually shocked to hear one of the characters say that Puff The Magic Dragon is about drug use.]

No matter what kind of animal they are always hard to lose. I remember in 4th grade sitting up all night watching my gerbil die. I knew he was dying but I didn't want him to be alone...he had a heart attack on his treadmill. It never gets much easier but its always nice to know they are loved!
