Thank you!With my hubby and I it is the opposite,I do all the resarch.We are already owned by a Golden,but unfortunly we jumped the gun without rearching the breeder,but with the bulldog we are going slowly.I wil get the magazine and buy some books!Thanks again:)

well you certainly are doing a great job at researching... we are the same way as far as looking into things before we dive in, although I hate research so it's usually my husband doing the leg work (hee hee hee), but with this I was really into it! I have the Bulldog magazine that Dog Fancy put out, it was pretty good although not as educational as some of the books out there, more entertaining.

Can't wait to see who you end up with!!! So exciting!

Thank you!Reading books is something I enjoy!LOL-I am a author!I finished my first book about irresponsible breeding of dogs,and I was relived when I talked to a breeder yesterday and she fit everything I wrote about on"finding a responsible breeder"LOL!
Is that your little girl in the picture(the white bully?)she is very cute.I am a resaerch person,where I will search thoughly....until I am researched out!LOL

Jennifer it sounds like you're definitely doing your homework - great! I too just went through all that you're going to and after about 9 months of soaking information, doing research, asking a million questions, reading books and looking for the right breeder I have my baby girl, Leeloo. It was all worth it!

I can't help you with finding a breeder near you as I live in Miami, but I do suggest you go to barnes & nobles (or whatever bookstore you have that will let you read there) and read some bullie-specific books. I feel that, other than this board, I learned the most from books that is now actually applicable!

Welcome to the best site on the internet. The webmaster has posted a great link on the home page to bulldog breeders he has helped screen.

The only other bulldog web sites I know of that are really good are www.wonderfulworldofbulldogs.com and www.bulldogdomain.com A lot of people on this board are also on those boards.

and good luck on finding you first bullie. I have had dogs all my life. My husband and I just got our first bullie 3 months ago.

He is definately differnt from most of the pups I have had. He is really a trip and I can watch him all day. He really makes me laugh. He loves to play with his sister Amber (a 7 year old Golden).
