Rocky is settling into the new apartment pretty well -- but he's definitely and understandably a bit nervous. For now (until we have kids), he has the little bedroom to himself. His crate is in there, so is his bed and a number of toys/nylabones and it is carpeted.
Any suggestions for helping him ease in faster? We have had to revert to crating him at night (instead of just putting up the baby gate and letting him have the whole room) because he is nervous. And I'd rather not have to crate him at night since he's crated while we're at work. The walker confirmed that he seems OK but a bit nervous.
I think it will help once we get all the bags and boxes put away and the rest of the furniture comes. But anything we can do in the meantime?
re nervous bully
We just recently moved and Oscar was a wreck! Every time we brought a new box in the house, he would run and hide in my closet. I think it's just the boxes and the noise that makes them nervous. They hate to have anything change. Just try to get things back to normal as quickly as possible and give him lots of attention.
maybe let him sleep in your room with you're all use to your new
and the boxes are gone.
