A lady called me today and wants to give up the 5 month old Bulldog that she saved from being put down because it has spina bifida. I am OK with that part. I have done some research, and talked to some experience people, and now know how to care for this little one.
My question is this: Bailey is 5 months old and only weighs 22 pounds. Is this a good weight for a 5 month old pup? I have never dealt with Bullies this young so I am not sure.
Thanks for your help. You are all great!!

Daisy was 15lbs at 4 1/2 mths now
she is 43lbs at 1 yr. I never really thought she was too thin, but I can remember when I first got her the vet said she looked fine -- weight wise -- and would just be a smaller bully. But now I think she fits the standard.

Winston was 26.2 at almost 4 months
nm
weight
i would ask a vet to make sure...but he might just be a very small boned dog. Some dogs are natually small.
Weight
That does sound alittle to much under weight, Gertie is 4 months and shes 21 pounds - Males are usually about 30 pounds when they are 4 months... So I dont know how serious it is if he doesnt weight that much at his age.
Tank you bery much!
