Turns out my husband doesn't want our puppy (who comes home in TWO DAYS!!!) to be named Lola... so now we're debating between DAISY or MAGGIE, or looking for some other suggestions. The criteria is that it be short, sweet and sound ok in Spanish and English (since she will be partly Mexican now, he he he) Any ideas?

Oh, your bully will be Loopy. Trust me!
Grover's BEYOND loopy most of the time. And the bullies around here all have their evening freakouts or "zoomies."

Lupe/Loopy wouldn't be too far off! I like it!

Oh, Latin... either way it is a lovely name ! ...
I actually wear a medallion of the Virgin Guadalupe (mother of Mexico) so I have a great association to the name and nickname (Lupe). But I want something that also sounds cute in English... not sure about "lupe" almost could be read as loopee, lol!

Laetitica; Letty for short. Latin for "joy; gladness."

Hmm...
I don't speak Spanish but saw it on an internet site for spanish names, it said the meaning was "wolf". I don't remember the site, but searched again and found another site that said Lupe is Latin for "wolf." ???
How about
Camellia, I just love those flowers they are beautiful. Not sure about spanish, but should be pretty sounding.
I thouhght "wolf" was "lobo" in Spanish, Lupe is short for Guada
