I would agree as I think that can also "do the trick" in preventing them. After I cleared them up with the Angels Eyes and Yogurt I did switch from the Euk Maintenance to the EUK Naturally Wild Salmon (2 parts) and Taste of the Wild Salmon and Potato (1 part). I think it has a lot to do with it as well, now. Don't want to stop the others just in case...so doing both.

I use Angels Eye to get a "jump start". Once gone I only need to use it once per week. In between I use plain yogurt (about nice heaping table spoon) every other day. to spare your $$ on Angels Eye you may want to try the yogurt every day for awhile then back off to every other day if it works. Takes about three to four weeks. I also heard of the tomato juice remedy. It did not work for me but perhaps I did not use it long enough. My dogs also liked the yogurt better than the juice.

You need the kind w/boric acid. I use it a few times a week on a cotton round & then pat dry w/another cotton round. For really tough stains, I'll use Angel Eyes...it's pricey, but it works.

I use nothing else but the food... for instance... Natural Balance Vegetarian will clear up tear stains in two weeks.... so will Nature's Recipe and Wellness Super5Mix large breed... I guess you just got to find what works for your dogs.....
