Natural Treatments for Thyroid?
Submitted by admin on April 20, 2010 - 5:27pmOther than putting the dog on synthroid or the like, are there other treatments for mild thyroid disorders? Rocky's thyroid was tested about a month ago and came back well within the normal range. But he's still having some head tremors and has a bit of hair loss and darkening (almost black) of the skin on his sides. Are there any vitamins, food supplements or anything that might help?

I don't know about the tremors, but the hairloss could just be seasonal flank alopecia which is very common in bulldogs. Lipiderm or fish oil capsules will help the hair grow back.

I have no idea, but I hope someone can give you input so Rocky feels better. If you haven't already, try posting on the other board too, incase this gets lost in the shuffle and business of this side. Good luck.
PS: does he eat twice a day and have snacks? Mine had tremors until I broke up his eating schedule and gave smaller meals, more frequently.
