my poor boy is sick, I am very worried...we're doing all kind of tests...

I had my own surgery at the beginning of December, we dealt with Lily's heart condition and fainting and getting put on medication, then I got flu, and we thought Chester was just mopping around for attention, that he just wanted to be near me and slept so much...well, poor boy is a zombie. I took him to the vet mid- December because of skin issues and he was put on Baytril because he coughed a bit as well.
Baytril did not help, his skin issues are getting worse, we did whole bunch of cultures and scraping and so on last Thursday. We also did Thyroid test as it looked like all signs of hypothyroid: lethargy, cold intolerance, skin issues. Tests came yesterday --nothing. In the meantime, he has barely any energy, he shivers, he may be in pain. I am not sure if he did not jump off something and hurt something, I suspect today they will do some tests/x-rays as my husband is taking him at noon to the vet. His hind legs are kind of weaker, I am very concerned. He looks so dopey, so dim, not like my boy. He was always kind of slow, part of his charm, but not like that!
It's been rough few weeks, but I just want to make sure my babies are OK. Anyone has any idea what could this be? I worry so much about my boy.
Has the dr looked into autoimmune diseases? My sister's dog
had similar symptoms (of course these are kind of vague symptoms which could be many things) and they tested him for so many things. Finally he was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease (I don't know which one though). Praying for your boy!
did they check for lyme....
i know this is a tick problem...but maybe he is having a bad attack...lyme they get weak...sleep alot...
i think you said they did blood work...did they check for this....

Poor Chester......
I always thought the shivering is a sign of cold but it is not...it is PAIN as I found out with my dog Friday. She, years ago, use to shiver all the time and I was constantly putting a sweater on her. She did not stop shivering and that is when the vet told me that she is in pain, severe pain.

he barely gets out (he is a rescue dude and prefers to stay indoor, LOL), and we have no lime problems here.
