The niece that lives with me is taking her final steps tonight out of child hood and into adult hood. She came to live with me almost 4 years ago because of following the wrong crowd and thinking she needed someone else to guide her she made the choice to live here. Her mother and father (my sister) were into drugs and they moved to florida and she started living with her grandparents. Lets just say they didn't think like a 15 year old girl and she got away with way to much. She has had alot of ups and downs but I am proud to say she made it. I am just one proud aunt and had to share. To make this bullie related she loves my bullies, thinks I over obsess and she is tired of having to put her shoes up because Tallulah chews them up...One way to keep shoes out of the den..
Now, I am off to get my 83 year old grandmother because she raised this child till she was 13 and well, she is going to see this child make that walk....Going to be one patience, trying, and confusing day. See you all later...Have fun and don't talk to much. It is really hard for me to keep up..
Rebecca

Congratulations and..........
You should be very proud of yourself. Not many people would take on a case like that even if it was family. You must be a very caring person to step into her life. She is lucky to have you.
Congrats
