morning ya'all..and thank you for all your posts on Cody..and my daughter

....I read all your posts to my daughter and she is feeling very special....smile
...the chief of police here is a neighbor and dear friend..and last night he and I went to the owner of the goldens house..and had a long talk with him...
he is a very kind man...and new to our charmed village....he had just spent a small fortune chain fencing his yard..and it was decided that this weekend a few of our volunteer firemen, off duty police..and ourselves..and some of his new neighbors are having a potluck eat and greet at his house..and will help him safe proof his fence by installing metal sheets under ground along the entire fence line..(the sheets are being donated by the our hardware store...)and I am going to work with the golden and the owner on some of her issues...
..the golden is very sweet and loving as are most goldens to humans..but very dog agressive..she is a rescue and the owner doesn't know why she is like this.

..we are not filing a complaint...we are a small village where everyone pretty much knows each other...and will indeed know about the attack ..most likely by noon today...chuckle...
I have talked with my daughter extensively about the dangers of what she did...and she said "what would you have done mum?"well that sorta took the podium out from under me...what would I do indeed...
....she said that she never thought about it ..it just happened..and according to witnesses..that is indeed what happened..they all told me that Rach just dove in..within the first seconds...
..after the golden ..recovered from the shock of my daughters dive bombing her...she stopped running and started licking my daughters wounds...(my daughters friend had BeanBag up the block by then...)
...thank you all again so much..this board is a delight..and full of caring...
...and Cody and MoJo..send globbers ..and bullie grins..and from me...love ya's..and hugs...ce

Happy Village

Ce,
What a wonderful place you live in!! I could not even begin to imagine anyone doing anything like that here. Or if someone did volunteer, the receiving person would think that there was an ulterior motive.
I love the fact that your village is so close knit, and so helpful to each other.
Bully slobbers and hugs to you and your family.
Jane

Ce you are always thinking of the positive stuff!

I wish that I could be more positive like you. Thanks for the pics, by the way. I cried!

Village

I guess it does take a village to raise a dog or was that a child. It's nice to know that there are places in the world people still help others.

Happy to hear all is well....

So glad things worked out, now you found yourself a new friend and neighbor..how nice for you all. Kisses to the furbabies, and a special mug hug to Cody!

oops forgot "pic "of my village n this repley

Thats great news ce ce!!!

I think you handled this just perfect!!! You and your daughter are 2 classy chicks!!!

that sounds so wonderful!

I live in a coastal shore town in NJ (Toms River) and we have 3 over crowded high schools and 8 or 9 elementary schools! I'd love to move.........someday.

ya'all are a hoot....I haven't heard ya guess Mayberry yet...lol

truth I live in a farming village of less then 2000 folks..and that might include the livestock not sure...chuckle
we have the county fair grounds three blocks for our back yard...hold fund raising "Cow Chip Bingos" for our FFA students...have an all volunteer fire dept, pick up our mail at the post office...when I walk my yelpsters down town, which consists of 3 blocks of main street...the store keepers often have them poke their heads in the door for treats...we have old fashion street lights..and no stop lights..this years total high school count for 9th,10th,11th and 12th grade was under 250 students.
low crime..
...we have are faults to ..high taxes..and very high water and sewer bills...
but all in all...things are pretty nice here...and oh and the house next door is for sale...grin...ce

my village

well okay my village in the late 1800's...but if you take out the poles and lines, add street lights and a paved street most of the same buildings are still there and in use...smile

I'm thinking

everytime I read about Ce's village, it reminds me of a village from an Agatha Christie MissMarple story (without the murder of coarse) very quaint
