Totally agree Julia

Thanks for posting. I wasn't sure if that topic had ever come up before. You are totally right though.

Julia's picture

I think years ago it was determined that would be a big old mess

Personally, I prefer that people have to deal with what they write. happy.gif If we could edit our posts, someone could be nasty to someone and then just delete it... not fair. happy.gif

There's really no need to edit, other than to fix a typo or something. happy.gif

We are not on the technical side of things, so

I'm not sure if there is a way that Network54 would allow a user to edit only their own post. I'm sure if it were possible they would have done that along time ago. I believe you either have the ability to edit all posts, which they'd never allow the users to do, or no ability to edit posts. Because then who is going to stop someone from editing someone else's posts?

So long explanation short, I am going to say the answer is no.

it will never happen

for numerous reasons.

1) as Julia mentioned and 2) there has always been, and continues to be way too many violations as it is. People will post things knowing it's in violation, then turn around a little bit later after people have read it and edit their post.

I have the edit function and still don't go in to correct my type-os or to add something I may have forgotten. I make a second reply. It is only used for moderating.
