Submitted by ramfanshan on April 21, 2010 - 12:31amI love the idea of the new "photo of the month"....I was wondering if you have considered maybe having a "nomination" period for photo's and let folks from the board actually nominate the photo's that you choose from. Although there are always a lot of really good photo's, something like this just might spark more creativity and definitely a lot more pics for everyone to share.....just a thought

I can almost guarantee this will not happen. It is and always has been the webmasters board and decision as to who gets picked, same as BOM.

From past things that have gone on here, nominating will spark favoritism and clique issues again and people will get mad cuz their dog was not nominated. Then you run the chance of it being stopped.
As I said, we don't have firm details yet and it very well could end up being treated the same as BOM where the webmaster emails someone in advance of their month and has them send the picture.

I can see that becoming a huge problem
with hurt feelings. I am still fairly new here, but I would NOT want to have to pick a dog to be nominated from all the wonderful dogs here.
