I knew you lived in Vegas, and I wondered if she was named after that Fluff. My husband used to watch that show on the E channel about Vegas showgirls, and she was the show coordinator or whatever. LMAO, I don't know if you are a fan of hers or not, but that show didn't cast a very pleasant light on her, fitting you should name a female dog after her...if you know what I mean. I like the whole theme naming thing, pretty creative. Here I thought maybe she was named after marshmallow fluff...lol . Thanks for sharing the story.

My kennel name is Lady Luck. I usually try to have "Vegas" type names, (until my husband gets involved, and he's chosen a couple odd ball ones.


Fluff's grandma was Ch. Lady Luck's Strip Teaser. Her daughters were Ch. Lady Luck's Tempest Storm and Ch. Lady Luck's Fan Dancer. I've also had Gypsy Rose Lee, Lili St. Cyr, Sally Rand, etc.

Well, Fluff Le Coque is a real live person here in Las Vegas. She used to be a very famous lead showgirl, now she is in her 60's and is in charge of the showgirls at Bally's. I've always loved that name and thought it would be so different for a Bulldog. But, as I said above, it just never "fit" any one till Fluff came along (her mom is Fan Dancer)...

about that other movie and getting to see the Dad!

When I was in boot camp, the actor who played Ralphie's dad in the movie, came visit our platoon's drill instructors and the base. He was filming a movie called Tribes with Jan Michael Vincent. I could have been in that movie as an extra, but it required having to run the obstacle course thru several takes. No way!

what made you name Fluff...Fluff? It's such a cute girly name, and I would think pretty original for the breed. It makes me giggle whenever you post about her, something just sweet and innocent about a bullie named Fluff . Just wondering.

I wish I had million bullies, just so I could name them. I like Cletus, Derry, Ralphie (hey, hey Ralphie )Ruben, Dominic, Lefty, Butch and Buck. Good luck with the new puppy, they are so fun.

Perhaps there is a name that comes to mind from his parents registered name, etc.

But, I have so many "names" picked out from over the years, but some just don't fit the dog. Once you have your puppy, get to know his personality, may-be something he does, his markings, etc. you'll think of something that just fits him perfectly.

Bruiser, Bulldozer (a.k.a. Dozer), Tank, Mack, Diesel are some good "bully" names. I also like Frankie and Fat Tony. My bulldog's name is Sheldon. Congrats and be sure to let us know what name you chose and post lots of pics.

Boo and Clovis, both of which can be male names also. Butkus is a cool name for a bulldog, tho, isn't it!!

I love the name Lakota, which I've been told is what Native Americans call the Sioux tribe. Also love Crazy Horse, tho that may have to be changed to Crazy Bull for a bulldog. Sitting Bull is perhaps a bit too accurate, lol.

Other names I like are Elvis, Romeo, Rip, Murphy, Grover, Garfield, Chopper, Zoom Zoom, Valentino, Butkus, Hamlet, Shakespeare, Forrest, and my all time favorite -- Atticus.
