Male or Female

I'm going to a breeder tomorrow to possibly purchase a bulldog. I'm still undecided whether to get a male or female. I'm not planning on breeding the dog, so that doesn't matter. Can anyone tell me if their personalities differ though and how so? Thanks!

Thanks everyone!

Thank you all so much for your quick replies. I think I'm leaning more toward a male at this point. I have a male pug and he's so loving. However, I will have to decide when I see them and fall in love with one I suppose.

Either

I've had both and I find that both males & females are very sweet & loving.

I think females are more protective. Opal barks at strange noises. They boys could have cared less.

Males look more "bulldogish" then females do. The males head will usually grow bigger & more regal than a females head.

I find regardless of what I decide . . .

When I get there the puppies change my mind the one I decide on walks away from me and there is always one that seems to pick us. And that is the one I usually get.

6 males here...and i love them all and their affectionate person

congrats on your new pupster...I'm sure which ever one you fall and go all smittoned for, will be the right choice...smile...ce

Male

Hi Pat. I'm partial, as my Sheldon is a male and I've never had a girl. Sheldon is going to get a sibling soon, and it will be a male as well. Don't know how accurate my information is, as it's all hersay, but this is what I've been told. Wrinkles, big head, broad sholders, etc. are more prominent in males than females (you can look at pictures and judge for yourself). Males are more affectionate and females are more independant. Females are harder to housebreak. Good luck!
