First off... Thank you for everyone's well-sishes and prayers..!! They are truly appreciated!!

Maggie's surgery went very well.. ..the tissue removed looks to have been somewhat like a plantar's wart and was really deep. All the tissue was removed and will be sent to pathology for further study. Maggie came through the surgery like a trooper and she is able to walk with some assistance. She has a rather large, lime green bandage on her right paw!! She has a little plastic bootie for her paw to cover her outdoor activities that the vet fashioned from an old IV bag.

Hopefully the tissue sample will come back without any additional problems or need for further surgery. Maggie is resting comfortably and is very happy to be home. She is on Rimadyl for pain and antibiotics as a precaution for infection.

Sophie Anne was at the door waiting in anticipation for Maggie to get home... She was acting much the "big sister" in not letting Maggie out of her sight.. ..of course Maggie just crawled into bed and began her gentle, little snore..!!

Glad to hear that all is well so far! Maggie is such a trooper, and that lime green bandage is just beautiful with her red coat. Hope she's back up and running soon so she can attend some of our summer bulldog club events!

that's a very spring color and looks lovely on her.
Also thought I'd let you know on the life jackets that we have a very nice one we got from West Marine in Seattle for Norbert. It has great support, full belly band, not just straps and floursecent strips and a hook for a leash or line, adjustable in the neck and around the middle. Fits very good. Very sporty yellow and blue. Looks like a ski vest. Very similar to the one Grover had on, you may want to check it out before you order one. I think it was 65.00 or 75.00
