Took Gretl for an HOUR walk around the neighborhood. She didn't even break into a pant. 
She's NUTS. She wanted to keep going! Look at that face!
She is AMAZINGLY smart when there no other dogs around, heels beautifully, sits wonderfully, doesn't stop to pee on everything (haha!) and "leaves it" if anything looks tasty... but she is absolutely TERRIFIED of cars. I guess I would be too if I had never seen them. So, we're working on that. I tend to take her out when it's quiet because that's just what time of day it is. She tenses up and cowers and spins... silly girl.
Funny though, people actually pull over to stop and tell me how beautiful she is, but absolutely no one knows what kind of dog she is... is she THAT unusual looking?!
She's actually RESTING right now. First time ever. She never, ever naps. She never turns off. She comes home from an exhausting obedience class more fired up than when we got there. Sits up in her crate wide awake the whole ride home when all of her classmates are zonked by the time the car hits the end of the school driveway.

no matter what we do or she does she is always ON!!!!! Whew!!! Got to love them but they wear you out and she wears out my other bullies too!!! LOL

She's Awesome
My Doyle was skittish around cars and trafic when he was a pup ( I live in downtown Chicago ). Now he loves to just sit on the sidewalk and watch all the action.
She's really beautiful and your pictures definitely make her come alive.

I don't think it's that she's unusual looking, I think there are actually a lot of people out there that wouldn't recognize a bulldog except the stereotypical big, fat, toothy ones portrayed in cartoons. And they don't all look like that, especially when they are young. People have stopped us to ask about Roxy too. And many of them were shocked to hear that she is a bulldog.
I am glad to see how much you are enjoying Gretl!
