The Evaluator can be a stranger for the CGC. In the STAR program, there are some requirements that can (and should)be checked off before the test, and AKC requires that the trainer be the evaluator.

I am going to take it as I'm finishing up Susan Smith's course. I am through the Learning Theory portion of the class (which was awesome) and so now I'm focusing on getting experience and running my business. Where can I find the list of books? I have the list for the IAABC, but I haven't found one for the CCPDT.

Can't remember ever reading anything about it. Personally, I would prefer that the evaluator be a stranger to the pup/dog but the AKC may have other ideas.

We're getting ready to incorporate this into our existing Puppy/Basic program. The current program includes 6 private lessons with 12 months of group practice (handler and dog trasition from Puppy group to Sit then Down class).
My question is, does the same Evaluator have to be present for all groups and/or lessons in order to administer the test? Often, there is a different trainer doing the group practice from the one that gives the private lesson. I was going to e-mail the AKC, but was interested in your experience? Thanks!
