Here is an update for those asking.....
The Las Vegas Bulldog Club will be having back to back Specialties on Thursday, Oct. 9, and Friday, the 10th. Saturday and Sunday are the Black Mountain Kennel Club all-breed shows held here in Las Vegas.
The Specialty judges for Thursday are: Sweepstakes, Michael Vaughn, Classes, Mike Brunk. Friday is: Sweepstakes, Laura Haney, Classes, Mary Brunk. The superintendent for the all breed shows is Onofrio.
The specialty shows will be held at the St. Tropez Resort. It is right across from the Hard Rock Hotel. The Las Vegas Bulldog Club will have a open hospitality and food on Wednesday evening welcoming everyone. There will be a lunch available both days of the shows.
Bulldogsworld is having a sorta "get-together" during the shows, with some tentative plans for the group. I know that some of the ladies will be making an outing to the Chippendales show at the Rio. We have some tentative plans for a dinner on Friday night for Bulldogsworld people. And we also have some gifts and sourvenirs too.
Go to the club's web site at www.lasvegasbulldogclub.com and you can get information on the hotel, and see pictures of the shows from the last two years and of the hotel. It is an absolutely beautiful show site.
If you are coming without dogs, when you make your reservations, please state you are with the Bulldog group, but without dogs, so take a second floor room. That way exhibitors with dogs can be on the ground floor which makes it easier with dogs.
Also, if you are definitely coming, please email me directly with your information, time of arrival and departure. I am keeping a list so all can be informed of things as we get closer.
Any other questions, email me directly.
GOLFING.......Just ask my hubby....
Cindy, is this for you or your hubby? My husband John is a golfer, and always has a golf tournament on Wednesday, prior to the shows. The golfers arrive early, on Tuesday to take part in the fun. Also, perhaps on Saturday after the all breed show, may-be John can get whomever wants to in just golfing, too. But on Wednesday, each year we get better and better little prizes and gifts for the golfers.
Badlands is a nice course, but we have dozens and dozens of really nice ones here. Actually, last year the tournament was at the on an Indian reservation north of town that was just awesome. He's out in the yard working now, so I'll have to have him post info later.
But, anyone wanting to golf while in Las Vegas, or if you can make the Wednesday golfing, email me directly.
Hey guys...
There was some talk about golf a while back. Is that still a go? I heard the place to golf in Nevada is the Badlands. Maybe webbie can give me his opinion on some of the best courses in your neck of the woods.
