It was great to meet you too! I was very bummed when I got home because many of my pics didn't come out - the one of Gretta too. I haven't figured out the camera yet...
Georgia will come home soon! She has a new slew of problems. She looked wonderful on sunday - we were thrilled. She is so active that many of the ICU people want her to go home!
Bad news - add hip displasia to the list of issues. A vet looked at her hips and said that one is very loose...we are hoping that she will get stronger and that the muscles will compensate for it as she is very young still.
Adrenal issues - her sodium levels are abnormal, so they aren't sure what is causing it.....that could be some trouble down the line.
Peri-anal hernia - they aren't certain over that yet.
Enlongated soft-pallate and small trachea...making it very hard for her to get the coughing up and get on with the healing....
We will know later on today if they ICU docs think it is a good idea - but we are toying with the idea of removing the most infected lung lobes via surgery. She just isn't overcoming the pneumonia like she should be. They fear she will never heal without some help of getting the worst part out.
Good news, she is eating like a pig! On oral antibiotics now and almost totally off oxygen!
:)
Thanks for the update!!! She is very lucky to have you so devoted to her..I think about her every day..and I know that all will turn out well!
