mine is allowed on the couch. I'm glad you are having success with keeping Remi off, though.

We've got leather furniture so it's way easy to wipe off the fur and globbers plus I love the lap time with him. =) Oh and it doesn't smell "doggy" either, we LOVE leather!~ LOL

I don't want Chopper's bear claws scratching up my newer leather sofa, so he's only allowed on the older fabric one. He follows the rules.

I is not knowin what a "roole" is, but in MY house i gets to go wherever my peeples do, and even some places where they can't!

My pa keeps sayin i is a "spoiled little bitchy". I is not knowin what that is either, but it must be good, cuz my pa LOOOOOOVES me!!!

when we took up the carpet in the living room and put down ceramic tile with a rug, I just didn't have the heart to take away their only "soft spot" left...we got enough grief over the carpet & pad being gone and just an area rug to lay on....mostly from the dane & mastiff!! LOL (Dixie has a mini couch doggie bed too - but it's bulldog size)

She is allowed on the bed after I take the comforter off.

Remi has a dog bed the size of a twin mattress, and he actually has been behaving even better then normal since the no couch rule. i think him knowing he doesn't OWN the couch has made him an even better dog then he already was.

well it was a dog sleeper sofa, not it's a dog futon! LOL they are family, what can I say...

but of course they prefer the new one, lol.

since we switched her to raw. I don't miss it! I have a really cute tapestry blanket from Disney World on one couch, and on the other I have a blanket made out of fake shearling. Wal Mart had the fabric on sale for like $10 a yard, it's 'suede' on one side and 'shearling' on the other. I got a yard and a half, serged the edges and instant blanket! I only put it on the bottom cushions, the back is just big pillows. I would not even attempt to be aware of where the cats are all day to try to keep them away from the couch. They don't go on it frequently, but they sure have a way of using their claws to climb up it. I HATE those damn cats!

my cats do too, and they too are NOT allowed near the couch!!!

However, i HATE lose blankets getting all wrinkled all over the couch and moving and having to tuck in etc, so i cant go that route. And remi ALWAYS needs his bum wipes, and even after we wipe it sometimes there is just no getting it all, and you know where it ends up....yep...smeared on the back of my couch. and i do my photography out of my home, and i am not a big fan of having my clients come over to a poopy couch haha. so, dogs on the floor from now on here!

i wish they would sit on the couch and leave me alone some times....its impossible to sit in a chair ....not everyone fits....if i sit on te floor their right their....i think with bulldogs family time is just some times to close....

My back just can't deal with sitting on the floor for too long, so when I want a cuddle with Audrey I ask her to come on the couch. Sometimes she sleeps there during the day, and sometimes not, just depends on her mood. We cover the cushions with a blanket. The cats cause WAY more damage to the couch than the dogs ever did anyways.

my uncle went out and bought all leather sofa/chair set, 100% because he has three dogs, lol. Apparently its the way to go!


Remi has no problem just keeping off, he doesnt even try to go on anymore im shocked! i had to tell him off, no joke JUST once!

yeah I'm not a fan of letting my dogs own the couch (or anything that we as a family share). Especially with a three year old around, first its the couch, then the three year old and hall his things. lol. i like a heavy set of rules and boundaries. and i don't mind snuggling Remi on the floor

Both dogs are allowed on the couch. Higgins demands we put a blanket down for him.
