It's been a week since Bailey left....

And it's been very, very lonely here. I open the door and expect to be greeted, and I am met with silence. I go to bed and it's hard to fall asleep without the music of bully snores and grunts... I miss Bailey so much!

My life is about to change though!! My friend Lisa (down in Houston TX) and her husband are driving a sweet little rescue (I heart rescue dogs!! Bay was a rescue too!!) girl to Colorado.

Her name is Cami - So I did a search to see if I could find a town or something with that name (cause I always name after towns/cities/locations) and found this awesome name! lol

She will be here Thursday night. And it's official! I've already melted! I'm in love with her already!

It has been 2 years since I lost Jez and I still sometimes start crying while riding on the golf cart because she isn't sitting there riding with me. Wiggles has helped a lot. She is just as obsessed with the golfcart rides as Jez was.

I get happy chills when I hear news like this..

Rather than mourn and feel sadness over loss, celebrate the joy of giving your heart to another in need of help. Congrats on your new adoption. She's adorable cute and I love her name.

She's 45 lbs! Bailey was 62 pounds - it's going to be fun having a smaller dog - Actually, I'm happier that way. I've always had a fear of big dogs.

Our one rotti was a rescue and he was the best dog I have ever had. He was so gentle with my daughter when she was a baby. We miss him so much.

Everyone handles grief differently, but I know for me, the silence and the lonliness made everything worse. Gretl fixed that right quick.

Cami is BEAUTIFUL! She'll never replace Bailey, but she will do a wonderful job carrying on her legacy.
